  1. Hi friends! I just graduated in August with my FNP and I saw a fellowship program for Tampa General for APPs. Anybody have any information about it or could give an insight if they went through it? It's rough out here for a new grad NP.
  2. My best advice to you is that you don't do it. Hospitals are barely looking at nurses with their Associate's. You NEED your BSN and if it's gonna be a hassle because of the accreditation, then I would not do it. It's competitive as hell out there and you definitely need to shine. You need to check with the Florida Board of Nursing because they have a list of colleges, universities, and programs that they will let sit for boards and stuff. Please do this research because this program doesn't seem like it will benefit you in the end.
  3. Well guys, not to be a negative Nancy, but this is the slow season right now for Ft. Myers so idk if there will be any internships.
  4. Be persistent and keep trying. I've been trying since July and only now is when I got this opportunity. It'll happen. Just keep applying everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Go to Mt. Sinai, you never know. Just prepare and hit it out of the park. Good luck!
  5. BTW, I should probably mention something about the Mt. Sinai open house you guys may be planning to go to. I've been there (since I live here in Miami) and it's not a fair. It's an open house that does interviews to everyone on the spot. You go into a huge room and there are two people from HR. Everyone is called 1 by 1 to be interviewed in front of everyone. It's kind of like the last interview for Lee except a MILLION more nurses because Miami has nursing schools and new grads by the thousands and I'm not exaggerating. Be prepared for this because it's an interview. And it takes foreverrrr to get called. It's for their internship program, they have 2 a year. Me and my friend went in August and she got called in December for the 2nd round of interviews. They have 5 rounds of interviews btw. Unfortunately, she didn't get picked but yeah. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on that one.
  6. Awwww guys I'm so sorry to hear that
  7. Hi Yogi! I actually went to Ft. Myers today and leased an apartment in Sienna at Vista Lakes. To me, the area looked pretty nice and the apartment was gorgeous. Try there. Good luck apt. hunting! :)
  8. That I am! I have to go Friday to do all of that while in the meantime apartment hunt and do lots of homework for my online classes. I wish I already lived in Ft. Myers, that'd be a hugeeee stress reliever right there.
  9. I hope you guys get the positions! :) See?? There's still hope. Keep you guys in my prayers ^_^
  10. Star how did your third interview go???
  11. ! Nooo! There's still time. Maybe they're still making decisions.
  12. Hey guys! Anybody else get a call? Any news?
  13. I'm so so so happy! Dream job for me :))))
  14. I got into the PICU
