Anyone go through a divorce while in Nursing school?
I came in here trying to do some research about when to get divorced. Its inevitable. Things just have not worked between us and the laywer (which has taken me 3 years to assign) says its best to get rid of it before one gets in the program. I wonder if that will work. I freak out about the financial aspects of not being able to work and earn a living, and having no time to study/cook/clean/shauffer daughter everywhere, etc. How am I supposed to make it? Why didnt I do this way way before? Will he take her away from me since I will be "too busy"? cause that's what men do, they will use the child as a pawn to get back at us. I wish I could see into the future (That would be such great help) Right now I need to attempt to defer my seat since I got accepted to Broward College Nursing program starting August 2012. It is so exciting yet I am dreading what he will do to me. But fear has never gotten anyone anywhere. As I jump head first into this unkown territory I can only hope that I survive it. I wish us all luck.

Broward College Central Campus Nursing Program
Wow. I am amazed to read this. Is this how it is in all campuses? I have applied at North and Im scared to death to waste all that money (as Im paying cash) to only encounter similar results. May I ask where did you transfer to? and do you like it there (compared to BC)? A friend attends the PT program and since failed a couple of classes (missed the mark by a few points only during two tests) must now wait to re-enroll. What is happening here? Thanks for the honest warning post. I appreciate it.

Any Recent Hesi test takers out there? Maybe in the last week or so etc....
Juliansmom2011, Hi! I must say that some of the A&P questions are so basic and easy anyone could answer them... however, some made me think hard LOL. Here, take a look at these: Hesi-AP flashcards | Quizlet These words and definitions look amazingly similar to the HESI test. As well as this little test from proprofs: Chapter 23 (press the start button to generate a question/answer format that will be great incentive). Glad to be of help! Kay

Any Recent Hesi test takers out there? Maybe in the last week or so etc....
I am a returning student with family and health-unrelated career so it is a challenge.... but today I have taken the HESI entrance test and passed Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! My average for all 5 required sections at Broward College (Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Anatomy & Physiology, and Math) was 98%. I hope to pass these along as the following helped tremendously, in addition to studying day and night for about 1 week, but also getting enough rest and eating right as well as supplementing with extra vitamins lol!: ~ The Elsevier book. ~ http://caring4you.net/Hesi_StudyGuide.pdf read thoroughly and did the self-tests to know exactly what I was lacking and how to do it, math fractions/percentages, even includes Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, and more! I thank God for Anneliese Garrison, RN at caring4you.net for the West Coast University HESI Study Guide!! ~ HESI A2 vocab flashcards | Quizlet Vocabulary - took the "test" multiple times and found that this along with others at quizlet (just type HESI A2 in the search box) was beneficial... such as Measurement conversions flashcards | Quizlet for conversions, etc. See another: Testing Endocrine System - HESI | Quizlet ~ "+(dtit.length>0?decodeURIComponent(dtit.charAt(0).toUpperCase()+dtit.substr(1)):"Practice Test")+" helped with metric conversion and it is timed (good practice for quick thinking during test) ~ Percentages were a bit tricky for me so I absolutely adored this guy's method for learning it BxR=P. Then .... Percent and Ratio Practice Questions Practiced with these! Answers are at the bottom of the page.Hope this helps someone out there.

Is it insane to take Micro and AP2 together in one semester?
I'm hoping to do the same, although some people I've asked (even a professor) seem to think its too much! But I can't imagine myself taking just one class (+lab) during one semester... I'd feel I'm going too slooooooow and I really need to get into the program sooner than later. Thanks to everyone who has posted with their positive experience and advice. I am motivated by your words!

how do you know if your cut out for nursing?
Trust me I wonder that myself (thats why I clicked on the post). But learning about it through school helps, I think. Its only a matter of time before its common knowledge :). Also, any field you go to will require knowledge, dedication, and sacrifice. I find that at least nursing is a lot more rewarding, IMHO.
