What about an online school from RN to BSN that does NOT require Statistics!! I suffered through Chem and got a C because my nursing program required it. But NOT Statistics....please......I've heard HORROR stories!!! I barely made it through intermediate Algebra and College level Algebra is usually req. before Stats..... Any suggestions out there? I've been looking and contacting colleges but so far no dice! Stats is required with College Alg as pre req....UGH!! Thanks

Hi Hon, I live in Phoenix AZ and have been employed as an RN for almost 4 years and I am having difficulty finding a job!! I have been on 4 interviews, turned down twice, and am waiting to hear on the other two positions. I have NEW GRADS beating me out because the Hospital paid their tuition if they worked for them for 3 years. I have a solid work history, great references, paid for a professional resume, have read up on all the interview/do's don'ts, etc. I think the problem rests with the economy!! So many people have lost their jobs and don't have insurance. The people who have insurance are afraid to go to the hospital or have elective surgeries in fear of losing their jobs. I've been doing Agency work just to have an income. However, from Thanksgiving to Christmas I worked ONE day!! I was ready to go to the food bank! I've been getting down to but I try to stay hopeful. Keep your head up, I think things will get better but WHEN is the hardest part! Hope something comes up for you soon! Lydia

Dont tell a potential employer. Like previous post get home drug test first to see if youre clean. Job markey too competitive to take a chance. Just my 2 cents

This is just a "hiccup" in your journey. Don't be too hard on yourself. ALL of us have gone through something that we felt like total failures and somehow we pick ourselves back up and keep on going, YOU CAN TO!!!

Also, not to mention that "ethically" she is way out of bounds. I agree with the others who said they didn't believe her to. She was just so deadpan and had such a flat affect when she was being interviewed. Weird--Weird--Weird!!!!

I'm in Tucson AZ and we were just informed a week ago that there would be no pay raises this year. A nearby hospital is following..... Our benefits increased very little and no word on matches on 401K's. As far as supplies.....UGH!!! Yeh, cheaper stuff and they don't order as much so we are constantly running out of things and scavenging other units! I am very grateful to have a job and make a good wage for being a nurse. HOWEVER, my theory is that if they don't treat nurses well in tough times, when the good times roll many will jump ship for something better. Loyalty begets loyalty.

Patients lives are at risk here!! If someone were to die due to her foolish drug induced mistake, how could you live with yourself? (A coke addict just doesn't do drugs on their days off....) It might sound mean, but if I didn't feel she'd respond to a discussion, I would not hesitate to tell on her in a heartbeat. Think of the lives she is intereacting with on a daily basis....would you want her treating your mother, friend, sister, etc. Well neither does anyone else!!!
