Chamberlain College (Phoenix) March 2011 start date.

Oh, okay. I thought when you said the 6th you meant May 6th! I did, but at Carrington, not Chamberlain. Did your advisor give you any indication how many slots or what score you'd need to get in?

    KK4YOU--So, did you get in?

Is it time to leave Arizona?

HI, dhammo01--out of curiosity, where did you hear that they "have" to hire 2 new grad classes a year? Just curious because, if that is indeed true, that can help those new grads applying to be strategic about how, when, and where they apply. I'm starting my RN program in July, so this won't apply to me for a couple of years, in which time my thought is the economy make shake out a bit, but I suppose only time will tell!

    Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

Inspiration... I think I'll keep Brookline in my back pocket in case things fall through where I'm looking but right now I have the highest Hesi A2 score in the applicant pool, so I'm pretty sure I have a spot for 7/18.

    Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

gogojulu... Carrington College does not require A&P or Bio, neither does the consortium of programs through MCC. What was your composite score out of curiosity? Perhaps I can put in a good word for you at Carrington? :)

    Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

Hi, Inspiration--where are you starting and when?

    Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

It does help--absolutely. :) When you say "private student loan," do you mean something outside of FAFSA/Federal Student Loans? I do have a BS already and I did already take the HESI, but unfortunately the two places I've applied didn't require Bio and A&P, so I'd have to retake that. . . Plus, not being able to take some of their pre-reqs there might hurt me. . . I only had one round of A&P in Undergrad and no micro... well, we should stay in touch as it sounds like we're both starting and ending around the same time.

    Carrington College

Beege, Carrington's program, pending you need to take all the pre-reqs is around $46,000, including all books and materials.

What are my options for Nursing Programs?

Why is there this shortage for BSN programs? Is that because there's a new demand for BSN-educated nurses or is has the "buzz" regarding the "nurse shortage" caused more people to look to nursing as a career?

    Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

Hi guys... do you mind saying more about this program? How long is it? Do they accept transfer credits for pre-reqs?
  11. Are you starting (or hoping to start) your ADN in Phoenix Area this Summer or Fall and do you live in the Greater Phoenix area? IF SO, I thought it would be great to start a thread where we could talk about our excitement, questions, worries, advice, etc. If you fall into this category, please introduce yourself, where in the Valley you live, which school you are attending, and when you are starting your program. Looking forward to a fruitful discussion!

What are my options for Nursing Programs?

Lol, again I have NO idea where that is. I'm in Tempe... where are you in relation to Tempe?

What are my options for Nursing Programs?

Where did you move from? I am going to Carrington.

Is that near Scottsdale? Sorry, I'm new to AZ!

Have you considered somewhere private like ITT, Chamberlain, etc.? These schools will charge you A LOT more than the CC; however, by starting now and not waiting the 2 years to get into MCC, you get into the workforce sooner. Do the math--I think it works out about the same to be honest. That's what I'm doing.
