Should I take physics in highschool or no? why or why not
Sciences are always a good, but if it is an option I would take a chemistry, anatomy, or biology class before I would take physics.

ADN to MSN Questions
Bri'smom I have that same issue. Seems like all the schools I've considered do the same thing.

Alegria Clogs
I have both clogs and mary janes and the toe box gives plenty of room in both. It seems to me that the only difference between the professional and the classic is the profession has a slip resistant outsole. Also, if you are looking to order online, a lot of people wear 1 size larger in the clogs than the mary janes. My mary janes are the same size I normally take (converted to european sizing) and the clogs are one up. Hope this helps.

Dr. Scholl's from Walmart? Really?
When I was in the Navy I was allowed to wear non-uniform shoes while pregnant and I wore a pair of black Dr. Scholl's. SO COMFORTABLE ALL DAY! But of course now I can't find them anywhere in white.

BRA!!!!
Has anyone tried the "Genie Bra" or the "Ahhh Bra" ? That one makes me laugh! My problem is my bra straps always falling down. They look mostly like a sports bra, but I hate how sports bras make my boobs "pancake".

Are you applying to the May 2011 RN program at MCI VA BEACH????
We've lost 4 people so far in night chem. He is a very good teacher, but some people just aren't cut out for it. In comparison I'm in TCC's CHM 121 as well and we only made it to chapter 12 in a whole semester. It's the exact same book and everything. I noticed at the end though that they do just pick the main concept of the chapter and don't go into quite as much detail as in the beginning.

Just an FYI...one of my friends did call her advisor this weekend who said they still had some interviews to wrap up this week. So don't be worried about not being called today.

Active military transitioning to Nursing?
I actually spoke with 2 different schools about going on for a BSN, ODU and UCF (Central Florida). Both told me that they award credit for your certification as an RN, and not for the individual classes you took, so they would have no problem taking me. Plus ECPI/MCI is now regionally accreddited, so more credits will transfer out.

Active military transitioning to Nursing?
Well, I know how it feels to go down to one income and want to finish school fast. I got out of the Navy in November. By making this suggestion I am not putting down any nursing program in the area. But for me personally MCI worked out the best. The pre-reqs are very few, only chemistry, computers, and college algebra and if you've taken any of those they will accept transfer credits for a lot of it. Even if you had to take all 3 though you could complete them in 10-15 weeks, depending on how much you want to be at school and then be ready to enter the program which will give you you associate of science in 16 months. This works beest for me because we never know if my husband will be transferred or forced out and this way I'll be done when he's up for orders. Just a thought because at some of the other schools you're looking at a year or more of pre-req time depending on any previous coursework. I want my bachelor's but I figure of I get the associate maybe my employer will pay for the bachelor's and the GI bill will be extra money in my pocket instead of my only income.

Where are you planning on living when you are out? If you have family to think of and need to get it done ASAP I may have a suggestion for you. I was a fire controlman in the Navy. My husnad is still in and we are in the hampton roads area.

Also, the people who I talked to that had their interviews yesterday were told that they are going to select people on Friday. So hopefully we will know by early next week.

Another thing I should mention about Chemistry is that it's a harder grading scale. 93% is an A- and so on...not your standard 90/80/70/60. So basically if you don't show up and study you have a pretty good chance of failing some things or at least come close to it. I think like 5 people failed our first test. I don't know about the 2nd one. I'll find out Wednesday.

Are you applying to the May 2011 RN program at MCI VA BEACH????
It is hell! I don't know what I'll do if I don't get in! My TEAS scores are pretty solid but I know there had to be some people with better scores. I'm sure the number of applicants might have dropped a little bit but not much. I know there are some people close to failing the pre-reqs though and mid term grades have to be in on Monday so they can decide.

I told them that I much prefer days. But I don't know what choice I'd really have if I got accepted to nights. I'm in the same situation as some of the other people...this has to be done before my husband transfers and goes back to sea. It seems like a lot of people that I'm meeting are shooting for nights though. I'm also wondering what one person's "outstanding" TEAS scores are as compared to another's just because the first time I took it i was told mine were outstanding and then I took it again and 2 of the areas went up by 10 points. It seems like everyone I talk to has just been made to feel like they will automatically get in.
