  1. I have a dog named Bella, and that makes me her mommy :) Lol
  2. I had a lady push the call light for water. (Not funny, right?) I took her water and left the room. She rang the call light again and said I didn't get her water, I gave her purex. About an hour later she asked me to be her private nurse and that she'd pay be $400,000,000 a year. Lol.
  3. I'm not really grossed out by anything aside from some smells that make me hunch over and almost lose it. I DREADED the days I worked as a CNA and the residents had sauerkraut or cabbage in their meal. Oh Lord. I just about lost it thinking about it. It smells horrible going in, even worse coming back out.
  4. I think it would be great to date someone in the same field as myself. That said, there aren't many guys in Nursing schools around Central Arkansas lol. I know it is frustrating being with someone who doesn't understand the stress and demand of the nursing field. I'm not even a graduate with a job yet, I still have two years of school left, and I've already sacrificed a social life to stay in the game. When I started school, my boyfriend was really supportive of my choice. It progressed to him wanting me to go out every weekend and when I said I couldn't he'd throw fits. He wouldn't turn the TV off at nights while I was trying to go to sleep until midnight or later. He'd stay out until mid morning hours and wake me up when he came in. To make matters worse he drove a truck and was gone Monday through Friday, so we rarely got time together. If I met the right person and we hit it off at school or when I get in the hospital setting I would definitely give it a go. We could support each other and actually understand what each other goes through on the job. But, like I said, the chances of that here are slim. So I'll keep weeding through the losers, moochers and egotistic freaks. Haha:p
  5. I'm new here, but I'll share anyways. :) I worked as a CNA at a nursing home/psych facility. One night after I started, maybe about a week into it, a call light came on so I asked her if she was okay and what she needed? (Mind you, it was about 2 am.) She replied, "Um, yes. I'm starving and the Sanyo won't quit talking. Could you call Red Lobster and order everyone food? Tell them I sent you. I own them and Captain D's" Lol. Another was when two elderly women got into an argument because one kept getting mad at the other for riding by her in her wheelchair. They ended up in a brawl. About two nights after that I was working the night shift and saw the little old lady walking down the hallway, wearing one shoe, no pants, and covered in feces. I took her to her room to clean her up, change her clothes and her bed for her. The whole time I was in there she was saying "Yeah, I got into a fight the other night. It wasn't my fault. She was HUGE and kept calling me names. I prayed to Jesus about it. And my daughter better bring me food." *She was the one who started the fight, and the lady in the wheelchair weighed all of 100 lbs.
