  1. many thanks for replying so promptly. As i am doing this independently, is it just a case of calling around all the hospitals and asking if they are willing to petition me, or do you think it is best to call upon the help of an agency at this stage. Thanks so much for previous advice.
  2. hello, can anybody offer me any advice. i am desperately trying to work and live in florida. i have passed the nclex/visascreen etc. i have bought a house in florida and am in close contact with the local ER near to my house out there. i had a phone interview with thier ER dept last nov. i have been doing this process independently as i wanted to choose where i worked. the hospital cannot offer me sponsorship at this time, but have positions available and would happily employ me when i have a greencard. i am trying to start my greencard application process, and the hospital are in agreement with this. the attourney i am using takes forever to reply to any of my emails, and needs prompting at every corner. can anyone recommend an attourney to me, or a link to legal services. i would b very greatful for any advice - its been over 2 yrs since i started this process and i am losing the will to live!!!!! help...many thanks.
  3. hi there - someone sent me message re:trouble they too were having with transcripts and cgfns - but cant find the message, and dont no who it is - i think it is mad midwife? anyway, my university have sent confirmation of my theoretical content to cgfns for the 3rd time now!! its driving me up the wall. I dont understand what the problem is as i did P2000, and i was of the understanding that it was post P2000 nursing that were encountering lots of probs? anyone else in the same boat?? frustrated flick .
  4. hi tina - thanks so much for getting back to me so promptly, gives me a little bit of renewed faith to know that someone else is going thru the same process. here is my email add as you asked - it would be great if we could get in touch, then i can bombard u with more questions and pick ur brains!! thanks again for the contact, and huge congrats for getting your application and nclex done and dusted so quickly. talk soon - flick (angie)
  5. Tina that is fab news that you had your ATT so quik. I'm not so lucky. I too applied independently in oct 2004. and am STILL waiting for my CES from CGFNS. It is near impossible to speak to anyone there, and I am going up the wall. Anyway, I too shall be working in florida (i hope), have the house, just need the documents! Can you give me any info as to where you sat the NCLEX, i know they are being held in london since january. Also, which are the 'good' review study books to buy - and did u have to study for months? sorry for all the questions - any info would be wonderful. many thanks - flick.
  6. hello. I have been informed by cgfns that my CES and visascreen is being processed. The relevant info has been sent to my chosen board of nursing, and i have been told to await an ATT from them before doing the nclex exam. however, another source advised me to take the nclex asap. do i need to wait for an ATT before taking the nclex? i would so appriciate any advice you have. many thanks. angie.
  7. Hi suzanne - can u offer me any kind of direction. i am an A&E nurse here in uk, and am hoping to relocate to florida, and am about to begin 'green card' journey. have house being built in florida which will take another year plus, and hv visited the hospital i wish to work at - all very welcoming there. but am lost as to how to begin the process. do i firstly apply for visa screen cert (is this the same as credentials evaluation service cert?) and will this pack give me info on how to obtain transcripts and veriftication fm nursing board? i heard rumour that you dont need to take CGFNS in florida? I hv been sent a licesure application from florida board of nursing - do i go ahead and fill this in? as u can see, i dont really understand what i should be the priority? and at what stage do i need an immigration lawyer? i have a million other questions, but i felt this was enough for starters!! many thanks. flick.
