That salary is very bizarre because new grad RNs get a base of about 84k for a staff nurse position at Mt Sinai, and that's WITHOUT any BSN/Night differentials.

New grad here, I just interviewed at a sub-acute facility and was given an offer (I didn't take it). The salary is 35.50/hr, although I am located in NY so not sure how relevant/useful this is to your specific situation. Good luck.
