  1. Sorry for the inconvienience of not having ur internet . I know how it can be especially in these days where everthing is digital. How then can you get me started. Your advise was really very welcomed. Am interested in what your views or findings have been. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.
  2. You are such a darling. Thks for ur quick response. If that's the way i have to go..then i prefer that. more cost effective that way. Are you a nurse?
  3. Thanks a lot for ur response. When u said "wait till i get into the nursing prgm and after one semester, sit for the cna exam" what do u mean by that? Is there a way to do that? Advise please. Thanks a lot.

Hi, I am interested in knowing if i can retest out (Exam) in order to renew my cna license. Am not sure how MD handles this issue. I was a CNA for about seven years while in college. After i got my degree, i never renewed my license so it has since then been expired for more than two years. After, having kids, i have now decided to go back to nursing school. I have taken all my pre classes and only waiting to take my ACT exam to get in. While i was waiting, i thought to go back to and referesh my memory as a nurses aid. But in order to do that, i was asked to go back to school and retake the whole nursing aid class....which is so expensive. So my thoughts on these issues at hand are should i go back and retake the classes again and incurr all that bill that i could have used for my nursing school or do i wait to just get into the nursing prgm and my nursing training experience over the years will come to me? Are there any free cna training classes out there? Or can i be able to test out on the CNA (nurses aid) exam? Please help and advise as i am really confused here.
  5. Did you have a resume turned in before applying for the job? If so, did you add ur professional resume to a cna resume? I also have a degree in IT but am looking to change my career to nursing. CNA giving me a little bit of experience b/4 getting into my nursing prgm. Look forward to hearing from you.
  6. please can you send me your resume. I do have some years of experience but have not worked with ny license for almost ten years. Also, pls do send me new cna resume. Thanks!
  7. i prev. had six years of experience as a cna while i was going to college. After i got my degree in IT, i decided to let the nursing thing go as it paid the bills while i was in college. So, my license is off cause expired. After many years now, i am now changing my career...wanting to go to nursing school. My question now, is should i renew my license and go back to being a cna before i get admitted in 2012? Or should i just try to remember what i already learned? For me, it would be to brush up other wise, i know what it is like to work as a cna. What do you all think?
  8. Hi, I was a nurses aid years ago while attaing my bachelors degree in computers. I worked as a nurses aid in nursing homes as well as private duty. Now, i am getting ready to get into the nursing school (Change of career) and some how, i would like to go and gain more experience as i know things have changed since i last worked (about 10 yrs now..). Since my license has expired, is there a way that i can take the CNA board exams without having to go to a CNA class? If i decide to take a CNA class, do i have to take a particular class in order to work in a nursing facility, retirement home e.t.c? Can they renew my license without me retaking classes.....since it's been a while i have used my license? Please advise me on what i really need to do as i have to get some experiences in before my nursing classes begin in 2012. Thank you all!
  9. this was a very great advise. You should write ur own book on passing the NET! Great...if i have any questions, i will be sure to send you a question.
  10. Thank you so much for replying. It's so appreciated. You are right, finances and family are definitely the deciding factors indeed! Where/what state is this ABSN part time program you are in? It seems that it will take about 2 and a half years to complete. That is very good i will say. Compared to 2 yrs for an RN then another 14 months for an accelerated prgm for a BSN. I will prefer to complete it all in one sitting. It sounds like if i do the first, i will get a better chance of experience rather than jumping into a masters prgm. To do a masters prgm do you have to have your NCLEX done? If so, after one completes the masters prgm, do they then take the NCLEX? How does this work? I guess i have to do a lot of school researching. The problem around my area is similar to yours cos. The RN prgm is just about a mile from my residence as oppossed to the other schools that are about 40 miles or more from home. Go figure my dillemma. Thanks again.
  11. Hello, I earned a BS in computer Informations systems and have worked over the years achieving experiences. With life changes and all, i got married and have three beautiful kids. Since then, i have become a stay home mom for some time now. I am at the stage where i want to do something else to prepare myself for when the kids are gone. While at home, i decided that nursing was the way to go for me due to the lucrative discipline it provides and while in college attainig my BS, i was a nurses aid....which i truly enjoyed helping and working with patients. I have taken classes to get all the prerequists that i need. Now i am waiting to see if i get accepted. My dilemma here is that am not sure if i should go for a BSN in nursing, Masters in N., ADN or RN? I need advise as to what to do. If i were to go for the RN in a community college, it will be cheaper it seems and yet the hiring for RN is not as needed compared to BSN holders. It also seems that to have an RN degree, i would have some experiences after graduating which will lead to applying for a masters in nursing as in their applications, they ask for a couple of yrs of experiences. As for the accelerated prgms, i cannot do that as i have very young children (I know it takes less time, but i would really like to pass the prgm w/o being rushed. Please help me to talk this over so that i can make a wise and beneficial decision for my family and i. Thks!:)
