They charge by the unit hour so if you take less than 12 units a semester, then I think the total cost would be less. Hopefully some current students will be able to answer your questions better.
I graduated from Aquinas a few years ago. My classmates got jobs at Vanderbilt, Saint Thomas and Baptist and other hospitals. Cant imagine it would be different now.
