  1. It's almost my six month as dialysis nurse but still I feel like I don't know my pt that much. Maybe because I'm just intimidated to my fellow nurse who knows my pt very much than me. Does anyone here have this kind of feeling? pls. help! Yeah I know how to give meds, what to do in case of complications, priming at putting on the pt.. but still I feel I'm missing something. Maybe lack of communication to doctor.. huhu sometimes I'm kind afraid to talk to doctor. Sometimes when I get nervous I tend to forget everthing I mean not everything, it's just arrgh, kinda hard to explain.
  2. Um what are you talking about Keshawn.? That's the first time I hear that problem.
  3. Ouch I feel really stupid today. I can't even apply those things I learn from school specially under pressure. I keep making mistakes. Does anyone here have the same kind of problem? Thanks
  4. Teeth brace :) I'm kinda too old for having brace. Probably my brace makes me look like a kid, hahahahah
  5. Thanks for the reply guys~ , I will have my brace remove soon! :)
  6. 2 of my coworker told to me that I look like a big kid... when I asked her she told me she can't explain it. Might be because of my brace that what she said. I'm really confused right now. Are they telling me I'm acting like a kid?
  7. I forgot to clamp the saline line before I start the machine. All left over saline was infused to the pt and the machine was messed up because of the air build up... waaaaaaa i really feel stupid!
  8. I know , specially if some things need to be done fast, I can't remember things!
  9. My 3 friend wants to become anesthetist because of salary. I mean yeah the salary is good but how's the job market? How stressful is the job? Right now it's really hard to find a job as an RN without experience. Imagine finding a job as Anesthetist. It went to my mind also that I want to try anesthetist but lets face it,there's too many competition and I don't have an Idea about the job market of anesthetist.. It's easy to say I want to become an anesthetist but hard to earn it..
  10. They didn't report me. My preceptor just gave me a handout about infection control huhu. But will never know..ouchy! haler! ballin!
  11. I put a equipment on the dirty sink, but its not a sterile equipment, I picked up some tourniquet on the floor and put i on the patient table. They told me thats considered a contaminated stuff. I'm not in a Isolation room, I work as Dialysis Nurse.. I'm a nurse not a student nurse...
  12. Does anyone here have a problem like this? Do you guys think they will fire me because of this? Need help!
  13. Sometimes when I'm too nervous I'm afraid to do the procedures, is this normal guys??
  14. Where u from ann?
  15. My advice is don't practice those very hard questions. It will lower your confidence!
  16. 200k? Are you serious? Before going to this kind of career ask your self first., is this job very competitive? What about job outlook? Is there a lot of job opening out there that for CRNA? Is this job stressful?
  17. Does anyone have this kind of problem?? How did you guys overcome this. Huhu I need help!.
  18. I'm really curious about this also. What kind of questions do they usually ask? I heard sometimes they use behavioral questions. But I think It depends on the facility. My friend told me she doesn't have behavioral question, they only asked her about her experience.
  19. Before taking the Nclex RN exam make sure you guys should have read the Saunders Comprehensive Review. Read all the answers and rationalize each answer. For example if I will pick this answer what will be the outcome. I'm telling you guys some of the questions in the Nclex RN will make you scratch your head. Study prioritization, delegation and infection control. Don't focus too much on meds, study that part last. What I did was I study the basic stuff and thats it. Focus on Disease process and Nursing intervention. Yeah it's nice to know those numbers and other info but no need to focus on them. DON'T MEMORIZE GUYS!! Understand the disease process and always question your self why. For example why does this patient need this intervention. Why this patient have this kind of symptoms. Most important part, pray! Mabuhay!!
  20. Thanks a lot guys for reply. I will do my best to improve my English grammar and accent. ^_^
