  1. I used the NCSBN, took the 3 week review, and I was very pleased with the practice questions. On my test I got many questions I did in the practice tests with NCSBN. I consider it very helpful specially in the review of nursing interventions for the various illnesses/disorders because I was away the nursing field for quite a few years. I recommend you also Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2004/2005 book and CD, it provides all the hints and clues on how to select the appropriate answer, this one helped me a lot too. One last thing I did was practice a minimum of 200 questions each and every during 30 days prior the exam date, including weekends and holidays, non-stop until the day before. I passed the test with 193 questions. Hope this helps Good Luck

  8. I took NCLEX-RN today. All I can say is that walked out that place feeling like the worst thing on earth. I studied so hard, day in -day out and feel I did't do well, I was guessing a lot on some pathologies, I didn't even heard of. I had 193 questions, about 10 on new format calculation, and lots of priorization, who to assess first, who to return the call first, 1 in disaster, lots of medications, all types of pathologies -you name them. Peds, OB-GYN, DM. This is killing me softly. I don't know what to think, don't know I should cry, run or what. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!! Thanks for your support and sharing. It is so good to know there is people out there sharing the same pain. It really helps.

  24. Hello Suzanne and everyone out there: I have a few questions I think you may be able to help me respond. - I will be sitting for the NCLEX-RN on November. I am on a tourist visa, my I-94 will expire on 11/24. Do you know if it is possible to request an extention for stay at this time? - Also, if I pass the NCLEX-RN how long does the adjustment of status process takes? - If I have to go back to my country (before the I-94 expires, in order to keep a legal status in the US), from your experience, what is the appropriate time to re-enter the US? Appreciate your help, Regards
