UW Oshkosh Accel Online BSN Oct 2012 Cohort
I was just accepted to the May 2012 cohort. I had applied to the October 2011 cohort but was not accepted due to no CNA experience and not having my prereqs complete prior to the application deadline. (that should tell you something). The TEAS V was not that hard but I highly reccommend the study guide. The questions on the test are not anything like the ones on the practice tests but they will steer you in the right direction as far as what to study. I got in the 98th percentile by only studying the study guide. The interviews are typical fair. They ask you the questions you would expect But they are more geared toward why you applied to THIS program. So to summarized my reccommendations (for what they are worth): -Have a decent prereq GPA. It doesn't have to be great (mine was 3.2) but it does have to be well over the minimum of 2.75 -Have CNA experience (big one). -Have all of you pre-reqs done prior to application. Although the CNA experience and prereq completion are not requirements, not having them will make you less competitive than someone who does have those checks in the box. Let me know if you have any other questions.

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh accelerated program, applicant advice?
Hey guys, I applied to the October 2011 cohort but was not accepted. I had a 3.1 pre-req GPA and 98th percentile on the TEAS V but I was two classes short on my prereqs and I had no CNA experience. They encouraged me to reapply and I did. After talking to Sue she said the fact that I was not Pre-req complete and not CNA exeperienced it made me not competitive but if I correct that I should be in good shape for the May 2012 cohort. I finished my two pre-reqs this summer and have been working as a CNA in a nursing home since June. I hope that does it.

Who's taken the teas v?
I took the TEAS V back in January. I did alot better than I thought walking out of the testing center.(98th percentile overal, 96th percentile in science) All I used to study was the ATI study guide and it was very helpful but not the end-all-be-all. You really have to have some sort of science backround to do well on this test. The study guide just helps you jog your memory.

Who's taken the teas v?
I took it 3 days ago. Total score was a 90% which put me into the 98th percentile. All I studied was the ATI study guide. It was helpful since I haven't had any science or math classes in over 10 years. There are some questions that are not in the study guide but only a few of them. Some of the questions are not "explicitly" in the study guide but if you use some deductive reasoning you can figure it out. Over all not the hardest test I've taken but it does require some intensive studying.
