Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
as stated before, i got the "good" pop, but i also did the quick results 48 hours later for "peace of mind" lol i would love it if my state's board of nursing would post fast, but it's been a week and they haven't so i'll just wait for my letter stating what i already know...pass : ) i'm just glad that my state is at least one of the quick result states. i don't know how you that live in those that aren't...deal with the stress :|

New grad offered job in ED & mom/baby just wanting some advice
rntim49...since you asked i will share how i ended up with two job offers in the same week. i graduated from a bsn program that is connected to a major hospital in central llinois. i have no previous experience & have never worked for them before. all i did was apply. however, with the ed position, i had done my elective in the ed so i knew some nurses but i hadn't had any contact with any of the people who interviewed me. i honestly just think i got lucky. i didn't participate in any "we pay some of your tuition for your time after completing school" programs either. i waited to start applying for jobs until mid november & had a few interviews in december & one last week. the first two interviews, i never heard from after, the last two were the offers. i really don't know what to say as far as "advice" to others. just keep applying! also after each interview i sent a follow up email (the same day) thanking them for their time and for meeting with me to discuss whatever position i had interviewed for. i think this is a good way to keep you in their mind.

New grad offered job in ED & mom/baby just wanting some advice
i just recently graduated in december with my bsn & passed nclex last week :) i've been offered a job in mom/baby & the ed. i love them both. what i would like to know from all of you experienced nurses, is your opinions on the two jobs. i have made out lists (pro/con) for each dept. but would love to hear others input. thanks a bunch!

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
i took my test on 1/5/11 and did the pvt a few hours later. in order for it to work your pearson vue status must be delivery successful. you can find this after you sign in to pearson vue & hit current activity (or something similar to that on the left hand side). i got the good pop up & was able to do my quick results today~i passed : ) i would say that the pvt is highly accurate. if you think about it, it makes perfect sense...why would they let you sign up to take a test you've already taken & passed. good luck to all of you waiting!!

im taking the test tomorrow! wish me luck! :)
after you have signed in to the pearson vue site you will come to a page that on the left hand side says : current activity, register, view history and so on. click currant activity~once that page appears scroll down to the bottom and under the heading "recent appointment history" to the right it will say status...under that it should say "delivery successful" if it does, then you know you can do the pvt :) good luck & remember you got this!!

How did you study for NCLEX?
i just graduated in december and took the kaplan review class that started the week after i graduated. i just took the nclex rn yesterday (1/5/11) i did the pvt & the good pop up came up soooooooo i'm crossing my fingers & toes that this is true~! to prepare for this test, i did the kaplan review class, about 100-150 questions from kaplans qbank daily & all of the question trainers from kaplan. i didn't go over any of my school stuff or any other nclex sources! well worth every penny~ my test stopped at 106 questions. also, i was averaging 60-65% on my qbank/question trainer tests. the kaplan instructor said that 60% on those was considered passing...i did have a 48%, 55% lol i was an avg student in school also 3.0 gpa. good luck! have confidence! believe in you! you got this :)

im taking the test tomorrow! wish me luck! :)
good luck & breathe! here's my tips: be confident you got this! go with what you've been taught! i wrote i got this :) on my dry erase board (they give you instead of paper) take your time! read the entire question! identify what the question is asking you before you look at the answer selections! you'll do fine! i'm not going to lie, it's stressful & i had anxiety...but just relax : ) i took the nclex rn yesterday (1/5/11) and it stopped at 106 questions. i came out of the test not knowing if i passed or failed...was really on the fence. a major % of my test was priority, 2 med calc, and a handful of sata. i took the test at 12:45 and just now did the pearson vue trick & got the good pop up!! i couldn't decide if i wanted to know yet! remember...you are going to kick this tests a$$
