  1. It has definitely crossed my mind that some of the alternate pain relief therapies have gone out the window such as meditation, massage etc. but really, who has time for that? Push the drug and let's go. Now, if I had patients like you and me and didn't want to be all screwed up on dilaudid then I would find the time... Also, you have to maintain your boundaries. If they understand the consequences and choose to continue down that path, you just have to protect your own sanity and go along with it with a smile on your face. You can really drive yourself crazy trying to save those that don't want saving.
  2. I think the key is "well-managed". There is no reason why nurses should skip breaks and be unable to use the restroom. I see it as a problem with management.
  3. You need moments like this to learn to be careful. Don't let this get you down. Learn and move on!
  4. Thank you so much for your reply! I feel relieved that I've been studying out of Saunders - Chapter 19, only 57 more to go :) Also HUGE congratulations to you on passing! Sciencer - You'll have to let us know when you get that passing acknowledgement!
  5. I was just wondering if any of you had tips for studying for NCLEX. I wanted to take the review class but couldn't come up with the $300+ after paying for boards as well. My friends and I are set to take the exam this month and any suggestions are appreciated, thank you!
