  1. Hello my name is John. i will be re-taking junior year nursing at AU. I missed a passing grade by .45% and no mercy was given. Its okay, worst things could have happened. I will see you guys around this coming semester/year(s) and i would like to welcome you to the program. I will be the short asian dude.
  2. i got in with a lower gpa but higher test score.. for whatever its worth
  3. Okay i will take your advice. what teachers did you have for patho and cell bio? are they any good? also... did anyone also schedule their advisement appointments? i have mine with ********. Im not sure exactly what this appointment is about.
  4. Wow so you too are going to be taking both cell bio and patho. I will take the advice of the person you talked to and get patho out of the way. i hope i don't burn out halfway through. hopefully it isn't much different then the patho i took at UCLA. what teachers do you have?
  5. Even for the summer along with patho? It is one thing if it is not too bad by itself and during a regular 4 month semester but over a shortened semester along-side patho makes me worried. However if you feel it shouldn't be too much to handle then i may take your word for it. I REALLY want to join the cross-country team. I do marathons, triathlons, tough mudders etc.. on my free time so im hoping i can get a scholarship out of being on the school team.
  6. What math course is it? Im not sure i would recommend all three during the summer but i don't know exactly how difficult patho is or whether you have photographic memory. I am worried about the possibility of having to take cell bio and patho during the summer. still contemplating. For anyone taking or who has taken patho, would it be difficult for me to take with cell bio this summer? or even in the fall semester with the other nursing course? CA_BSNhopeful i know you said patho wasn't that hard. I took patho online with UCLA-extensions over the summer 2 years ago and i felt it was difficult considering i was also taking developmental psych as well that summer. Unfortunately those credits didn't transfer over to Aurora but at least it won't be completely new to me when i do take it again. btw gylly join our facebook group.
  7. try looking for it now, its open
  8. Its called Aurora University 2013 Nursing Students. I have the same dilemma. I live 45 minutes away in streamwood and i still have to take cell biology and patho. I want to join the cross country team so im thinking getting patho out of the way would be a good idea maybe
  9. Congrats! now join our facebook group!
  10. anyone having trouble finding the FB group page?
  11. PM sent! lets get this group started ASAP! Anyone going to be or already living on campus? I live all the way out in streamwood and i may not enjoy driving 45 minutes to class and back.
  12. Thanks! My call was from the assistant director of transfer admissions, not specifically from the nursing program
  13. I GOT IN!! I had a 2.96 GPA because they didn't accept all my courses (cumulative GPA is 3.15) and apparently i was told i had a strong score on the TEAS but i never got a letter telling me what my exact score was. Either way i am in, paid my $250 placeholder fee and am scheduled for my appointment on wednesday. I also got into Chamberlain and had a financial aid appointment next week but boy am i glad i got the news about Aurora today before paying the $150 fee at Chamberlain. Is our TEAS score the "Adjusted Individual Total Score" on ATItesting.com? If so, then my Adjusted Individual Total Score is 82%
  14. but didn't you say your GPA was 3.0? do you mean the grades from other colleges brought your current GPA down?
  15. Wow i am scared, you had a decent package.
  16. congrats! what was your GPA by the way?
  17. thank you. what i am going to do this semester is retake some classes i bombed back in the day which should give me a huge bump in gpa since my school replaces old grades with the newer ones when you retake a class
  18. what was your gpa if you dont mind me asking im worried about that part,,,
  19. This is a general question and i am just using UIC as an example. Is it less difficult to get into a good RN to BSN program than regular full time BSN programs? I want to get in the UIC BSN program but it is nearly impossible to get in at this point. Once i have my RN, would it be easier to get in their RN to BSN program? Are the waitlists and entrance standards just as tough? and long?
  20. i was there during the LPN session according to the sheet i have in front of me With A&P 14 month LPN $27,950 18 month LPN $28,450 22 month LPN $29,050 WithOUT A&P 10 month LPN $22,350 14 month LPN $22,950 18 month LPN $23,550
  21. Thank you for the help. I will do a little gen ed at Elgin first. I will take some of the pre-requisites so if/when i do get accepted i would only have to go part-time
  22. thank you for the response. one more question, do Ambria LPN/RN programs run through the summer?
  23. can anyone answer this? :uhoh3:
  24. Hello, is this thread about the Americare that moved to Hoffman Estates aka Amrbia that was in Schaumberg/Hanover Park? I am not sure which one is which since i hear there are two. Also, does the LPN program require CNA licensure before beginning classes?
  25. Hello, i am trying to get into Chamberlain Addison campus but my GPA is too low. My grades weren't so hot during my first stint at college so i joined the military. I came back 2 years ago and have been taking my studies a lot seriously. Unfortunately my old GPA brings my overall GPA down. I tried to apply for academic amnesty from Elgin Community College (where i go) but they do not offer that. My overall GPA 2.67 and i am trying to get it up to 2. 75 . Will i be accepted or am i a lost cause? also... If i finish all the transferable courses at my local CC. Will i still have to do the mandatory 7 minimum semesters before graduating? If so does that mean i would have to take some other random filler-courses?
