some pharmacy has compound drugs. for agitation that doesn't respond to anything we do try phenobarbital suppository. And it works wonders.

i already got the job, i am now training/orienting. i was already able to shadow in AM shift. it was pretty intense. i saw a lot of charting... you do assessment everyday in your shift., on Days for 12hrs shift it's 2:12 with 1 aide... i hope i can keep up and do it smoothly when i start working alone.. i think it's the charting, documentation, and and all the writings are making the shift so busy even u have less pts

We get BP it pt receiving HTN meds, sometimes doctors order specifically for it

It really depends on the situation on how to manage pain and/or anxiety if pt is in critical conditions. Thanks for all ur info

LTC, i still have to do some treatments, basically i need to do everything, but CNA does the peri care.. I don't have any idea either if it is still legal patient load

Hospice.. That's what i thought to coz there's no point of checking there vital signs, but pt tend to have high fever and of course we'll give suppository tylenol

It is ok to give patient morphine 2ml every 2 hrs round the clock? Pt not responsive has shallow breathing, yelling at times and startles. Ativan intensol seems not working.

What i do when pt is dying i sometime alternate intensol and morphine sublingual, for comfort..

Shorten it, and personalize it to the job posting you want to apply, (like the job description of that job, make your objective relevant to it)

Ativan (liquid) is sublingual if pt won't be able to swallow, more common scenario when patient is actively dying.

Make your resume just 1 page, simple yet very interesting

Sometimes even if patients are put on hospice, their meds retain, it's up to the doctor to discontinue it.. Hospice will add meds specially for pain and anxiety

The management already told me i will have 1:12 pts at night, in my present ltc job i have 1:48 pts, so i thought census is way better than my present job. I am a bit anxious about it because this will be my 1st hospice job, although i have pts in LTC that are hospice.. Thank you @Deenurse1 can you tell me your typical day at your hospice house?
