  1. Please help, I had my licensure,NCLEX, exam in California and since I don't have a SSS No. I applied for reciprocity in Vermont. I have now a license in Vermont. I was not practicing my profession for more than 5 years because of the retrogression, I have my vermont license be place in an inactive status. Now, that my pd is current and my employer is in New York, can I apply for New york license using my California NCLEX exam for licensure verification instead of my vermont license that is inactive. I can not renew my vermont license because I am not practicing my profession for more than 5 years now and vermont requirement for renewal should be practicing nursing within 5 years or take a re-entry program which is very costly. I hope someone out there can help. thank you.
  2. I just want to ask now that my Pd is almost within reach, I am having a problem with my employer. May I know if an employer can entirely change the contract and ask me to pay everything he has spend on me before he gives me the job order I will be needing on my embassy interview. He wants me pay my attorney's fee and not only that he downgraded the salary we previously agreed upon. He is asking me to sign an entirely different contract or else. Can they do that? My employer is reputable company and I don't know what on earth happened for him to change everything. Do I have a choice, my God, I have waited for so long to deserve this.
  3. Yes. I did call yesterday, Feb 25. The recording said, documents complete and it was completed last Feb 17, 2011. And the email from NVC attorney was dated Feb 23, 2011. Is it some sort of an FYI only?
  4. My pd is July 12 2006. My papers were documentarily completed Feb17, 2011.
  5. Did anyone of you received any NVC letter made by an NVC attorney confirming that they have received from your attorney the checklist NVC requested and and added instruction specifically for you that you will be contacted again when they send your papers to the manila consulate or words to those effect? And you received this letter even your priority is not yet current. Does it mean my priority is soon to be current? I am already documentarily completed so Iam quite puzzled why I received this e-mail from the NVC attorney. Anyone please.
  6. When I applied for Vermont I only enclose my CGFNS certificate with my application and the only reason why I needed the Licensure verification from PRC was my CGFNS certificate was issued three years ago. But if you don't have the CGFNS certificate, you have to get the CGFNS-CES coz its one of their requirements. Good luck!
  7. Hi there! PRC needs 3 days processing time for your Licensure Verification. Then they will offer 2 options for delivery to desired destination. One you pay cheap, around 101 pesos but it will take exactly 1 month before it reach, say in your case Vermont and the other one you pay a thousand pesos for FEDEX, express delivery. Good luck!
  8. Yes, you're absolutely right! why don't they just say, " hey would be immigrants we don't need you", that would be much easier to digest than to find the priority date retrogress to (may I borrow your word) such a ridiculous date.
  9. Hi there, thenx for the update. I just have a few questions, if you don't mind. who is your husband's petitioner? and was your atty really the cause of the delay of the issuance of his gc? what packet is he in now? in fairness to my atty he did a good job when he was handling my case coz from packet 1 to 3 it only took him 3 months. i had my packet 1 - July 2006, packet 2 - Aug 2006, Packet 3 Sept 2006 and if not for "D"retrogression I could have been in US early part of 2007. he was a fast worker coz all in my batch had the same speed of processing compared to other lawyers. so it really pains me that he is such a big mess right now and I sure hope things will get better for him. i can not deny up to now i still worry a bit although the law firm already gave their assurances that somebody has taken over our cases, oh well, lets just say i am a worrier. hope that your new lawyer deliver, really deliver what you expected from him...best of luck to both of us....and God bless....savian:nuke:
  10. Hi, would you be so kind as to tell me what happen to your husband's paper after meeting with your new lawyer or whatever advice he gets from him. I will appreciate it very much if you can post it here as well, thenx and God bless...savian:nuke:
  11. hi, I am already on my packet 3 going to packet 4 when retrogression kick in. well, i guess there is no harm naming my attorney since it was all over california immigration circle when the conviction was handed down. His name is Mr. Philip Abramowitz. I called the law firm and they said nothing to worry about since he was not the only lawyer of the firm and a series of legal blah, blah, blah. But you see, I can't help worrying. Anyway, I'll take your advice, I will try calling my employer, although I am not very optimistic because employer usually won't tell you much, they are used to saying and I quote, "Don't worry, we are working on it". Thenx again and God Bless...savian:nuke:
  12. hi, my pd is july 2006 and i know that it would be a few months more before it becomes current, i just want to ask if the lawyer handling our immigration papers was recently disbarred and convicted ( our lawyer NOT my petitioner) will my papers be affected by my lawyers conviction? thenx very much and God Bless....savian:nuke:
  13. Thank you very much for the info...savian:flwrhrts:
  14. Hi, I am very interested to apply for a VT license. I just to ask if the CG certificate you send is a xerox copy as well as the CA pass letter. And I want to ask if I don't have to request CA verification letter that cost $10. Thank you very much....savian:flwrhrts:
  15. Thanks. And I won't be using the all caps in my post next time.
  16. HI, IAM SAVIAN. YOU HAVE TO ASK YOUR ATTORNEY AGAIN, IF IAM TO COMPARE MY CASE TO YOU YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVE YOUR DS-230(BIOGRAPHIC DATE SHEET-PACKET 3) A LONG TIME AGO. MY PD WAS JULY 12, 2006, APPROVED AUGUST 7,2006 THEN I GOT MY PACKET 3 WHICH IS THE DS-230 AUG 26,2006. NOW,IAM JUST WAITING FOR MY INTERVIEW DATE BUT BECAUSE OF THE RETROGRESSION I DON'T KNOW WHEN WOULD THAT BE. MY PAPERS WERE PROCESS UNDER THE TEXAS SERVICE CENTER. HOPE THIS INFO HELP YOU.
  17. HI, IAM SAVIAN. I WONDER IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME. I AM AN NCLEX PASSER AND IAM JUST WAITING FOR MY INTERVIEW DATE WHEN RETROGRESSION KICK IN. AND TO THIS DATE NO ONE CAN ACTUALLY TELL WHEN IT WILL BE LIFTED. MY PROBLEM IS HOW TO GET A SSS NUMBER EVEN A TEMPORARY ONE TO COMPLY TO THE REQUIREMENT OF CALIFORNIA BOARD OF NURSING TO APPLY FOR MY RN LICENSE. I AM STILL IN THE PHILIPPINES AND I DON'T KNOW IF IAM EVEN ALLOWED TO GET ONE. THE PROBLEM IS MY NCLEX EXAM ACCORDING TO THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF NURSING HAS A 3 YEARS VALIDITY ONLY IF I WON'T APPLY FOR A LICENSE WITHIN THE SAID PERIOD MY EXAM WILL BE WASTED. I NEED A SSS NUMBER TO BE ABLE TO APPLY...ANY SUGGESTION PLEEEEESE. THENX...SAVIAN:balloons:
  18. good day! I was interviewed at US embassy already but I haven't received my visa yet because i still have lacking requirements to be submitted like the visa screen and my contract with my employer. I've been expecting my visa screen to arrive considering i have submitted already the requirements right after i have passed the nclex but it seems there is a long delay in the processing of my visa screen. so my question is, if in case there will be retrogression this month of october will i be affected of it despite of my interview at embassy has finished? is there such a thing as a reserved immigrant visas for those who were interviewed already considering there is an assurance that the lacking documents will be forwarded to embassy once they get them? thanks, Personal e-mail add. is not allowed for public posting for your own security and per Terms of Service (TOS).
