  1. I have 5 weeks left before my exam and this is the only time I have where I've got no distractions and nothing else to do but wake up, eat, study, eat, sleep and basically survive. Last night I just had a nervous breakdown because I feel like I can't do it anymore. Sorry if this reply isn't very helpful but I just wanted to "vent" too. Maybe you should try to figure out what makes you not re-read the question first before answering? I have a friend who told me that that happens to her too and she realized that it was because she wasn't relaxed, she was mostly anxious and always in a hurry to finish the exam. She would get distracted by the thought that it is a timed exam and she might not finish it on time.
  2. First of all, congratulations in passing the NCLEX!!! I just posted a thread asking people for tips/ advice because I have 5 weeks to review for this exam and I feel so overwhelmed.. I graduated 4 years ago and I feel like I've forgotten everything. But I am hopeful that 5 weeks will be enough for me to sort of recall and dig out all my "stock knowledge" and be able to get high scores on my practice tests and eventually the actual NCLEX.. I am so nervous, I wanna throw up!
  3. Hey guys, I have 5 weeks to go ham on studying for my exam and I'm really anxious to the point that I cant sleep and I wanna throw up just thinking about it. I graduated last 2009 and passed the local boards here in the Philippines last 2010. Haven't really gotten the chance to work as a nurse yet because I moved to a different career path but I decided to go back and work on my Nursing career this year. I dont know if 5 weeks is enough but I am willing to spend all day, all night just studying. I have nothing else to "bother" me for the next 5 weeks (no kids, job, school, etc) so its just me and my books and the practice test. I just recently purchased the Kaplan Qbank and I also have Lacharity, Saunders and Kaplan reviewers. Basically, I just want some advice/ tips about what I can do to maximize the 5 weeks that I have left.. I am so anxious that I feel like I've forgotten everything and I just can't absorb everything properly. Please help? What can I do to study efficiently?
  4. Hello, I am enrolled in Kaplan On Demand and if I'm not mistaken, Question Trainers are the exams that you cannot customize by topic/ numbers. The qbank are also practice tests (just like question trainers) but you can choose the topics you want to answer (or you can also answer all questions on ALL topics) and you can also choose how many questions you want to answer.
  5. I also just enrolled online for Kaplan On Demand.. I'm about to start studying.. I am currently unemployed so I'll be studying non stop from today until my test date. My target date is on February and I don't know if I have enough time but I will certainly do the best I can..
  6. Hi guys! I'm in the Philippines too! Applied in Illionois.. I was wondering if you could help me out with a couple of questions. My application will expire on February 21, 2014. I would like to know if: 1. Its okay to schedule my exam one or two days before February 21, or must I schedule it long before it expires? (The reason for this is that I would like to be 100% ready before taking the exam) 2. When you say that my application expires on February 21, does it mean that I have to pass the NCLEX before February 21 or does it mean that I have to be able to apply for my ATT before February 21? Hope someone can help me out with this.. Thanks guys and Happy holidays!
