Change of address and Pearson Vue
Hello, I'm trying to clear something up for a friend of mine. On her ATT letter it states that the address she used for her application must match the address she will use to register with Pearson Vue. She is in the process of moving in the next 2-3 days and is also planning on registering on Pearson Vue within the same period. Can she go ahead and register on Pearson Vue now using her new address or will she have to wait for the board to change her address in their system before going to pearson vue? Hope it's not too confusing. Thanks!

Long-term High Protein Diet > white residue sometimes
I appreciate the responses. I might be over thinking it since the family wasn't at all alarmed when I brought it up. Ill definitely keep an eye out for it.

Long-term High Protein Diet > white residue sometimes
Hello! I just started a home health job and I'm working with a patient who receives a high protein diet via jtube. While replacing his adult briefs during my shift last week, I noticed a tiny amount of white almost cream-like discharge in the briefs. This was the first time I noticed it and haven't seen it again since then. I talked with a relative and all he said was it was normal to have discharge once in awhile with a high protein diet as told to him by someone at the hospital. Setting any possibility of infection aside, could it be that simple? First thing I thought of was kidney function, but my patient doesn't have any history(including recent) that relates to this. I read little about how high protein diets can affect the ph of the urine, but wasn't specific on discharge. Any thoughts?

Clinical Rotation Requirement??
Hi, any chance that you are a foreign graduate? Reason I ask is because I was in the same situation during my application and all I had were my documented cases and clinical experience hours. I had to work with the foreign school a little and in the end, they ended up creating a document that listed all my clinical rotations, dates, preceptors, etc.

New USRN, but resume with no experience
Hello, to make a long story short, I am a US citizen who earned my BSN in the Philippines. I recently passed my NCLEX and now readying myself to find a job. I've been told that new grads and new nurses with no work experience in the field can list their clinical rotations under education as a supplement to the lack of work history. Since I studied in the Philippines, all my clinical rotations were in Philippine institutions. My question is, do you think it would be worthwhile for me to include these in my resume?

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
I took mine Nov 2 and didn't see my name on CA BON until nov 9. Another member here took hers November 6 and also received hers on Nov 9 like me. Based on this, you can see that there's really no definitive schedule of when you will see the results. Some get it early, some get it much later. By the way, my license card just came a week after seeing my name on online. Good luck!

California State Boards
Hello.:) It will be very difficult for you to have them contact you back due the high volume of applicants/callers to the CA BON. They simply don't have the time to call individuals back. If you want to keep calling, just keep doing so until you are able to talk to an actual person because leaving a message and waiting for them to call you will be the least productive thing you can do unfortunately. Even emails seem to get lost when sending it to the CA BON. What are your specific questions? The application packet has instructions that are pretty straightforward(from what requirements they'll be asking for to the types of fingerprinting etc etc) with checklists to make sure you have everything. Finally, congratulations on finishing school:)

NCLEX Alternate format help
Based on experience, LaCharity was loaded with SATA and Drag and Drop style(putting steps in order). Of course it's not a Alternate format focused review, but it seemed like 40% of each chapter was either SATA or Drag and Drop style; especially those unforgiving case studies. But yeah, I also wondered when I was reviewing if there were reviewers that focused strictly on alternate format, but I never found any.

Questions/Contents or BOTH?
I think it's really important to do both, but initially you have to have a strong knowledge of your content. For my RN, I had 2 months to study and the first 3 weeks, I didn't even look at questions. After that, I gradually added questions until I was hitting 200-300 questions a day(last week prior to exam). I would say my review experience was 60-70% content and the rest questions. Fortunately, my schedule was somewhat accommodating, but I see that yours is quite full so starting out early would probably help some bit. Hang in there and remember that success is within you.

HELP!
Not seeing your name doesn't necessarily mean you didn't pass. The updates don't seem to be consistent on the CA BON and since it's still early, the pvt is probably the closest thing to quick results in California.

how many days after the exam can you check the official results?
I tested RN California BON on Nov 2 and just found my name on the website this morning. Just pray and wish for the best. Here's a tip while you're waiting; anytime you start feeling anxious or begin to have doubts, do the PVT. It's not official, but it's somewhat of a reassurance especially with the outstanding success rate of the trick. Good luck!

Got my ATT!

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
Hi sarahnancy. As of the Nov 8 update, I am now a registered nurse under the CaBON.:yeah: If you remember, I took my exam Nov 2 so it took around 5 working days until I saw my name online. I got the good pop up when I tried pvt and since you did too, I'm sure your name will be on the CaBON very soon. Be patient and have faith. The PVT surely helped in relieving some anxiety as I waited for my results. Even after reading through countless posts and threads about the success of PVT, I was the type to worry that maybe I'll be the exception, but the PVT is for real. God bless us all:) tsimitpo = optimist:redbeathe

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
Hello again. For those in California, how low does it normally take for the CaBON to update their online list for the license verification? I got the positive pop up so everyday I'm checking my name on the list. Nov 2 was my exam day and as of the last update which was Nov. 5, but still no luck. I know the PVT is unofficial, but I still can't help be anxious.
