  1. Holy cow I just started A & P on Monday and it is a whollotta info in a short time. ANy one have good study tecniques with the bone processes?
  2. Oh the things patients wills say. My mom had a patient comment one time about why were all the nurses on that floor fat. She ( the patient) said with all the walking and running they should be skinny. My father (who is 65 and still on the floor hustling bedpans) has been told he is to old. I am entering nursing school and can't wait for the outrageous things I'm sure I'll hear. I just chalk it up to people being out of their normal realm and take solance that apperances change but nasty attitudes don't.
  3. If I were you I would definantly (sp?) do it. Not only is the pay decent (I'm not sure where you are) but the emotional satisfaction and service you provide will be well worth it. Most of theses people are alone and the care you provide them is priceless. my father ( who has been a nurse for 40+ yrs) worked in HIV/Aids hospice and when i visited I could not beleive how families could turn their back on loved one in such a time of need. It only a year out of your life. Go for it the experience will be worth it and who know you may have found your calling. Good luck on your desicion.
