  1. You never know, they may have somewhere for you now. I would call them and explain your situation. Asked them when you should put an application in or whatever. It sure wouldn't hurt...
  2. TO; CLLRN My dh is an electrician on the Baptist South job and he said they are planning on Nov 15. But you know how things sometimes get postponed. Why don't you call the hospital and tell them you are interested working there. I'm sure they will have it staffed before then. Good luck.
  3. Although I didn't like doing it, I have had to do many, many things I didn't enjoy while being a nurse. Somethings were downright discusting , but they had to be done. Since so many programs have cat disecting as part of their curriculum, then it must help in someway. I love my cats and dogs like my children, but...Just MHO.
  4. Yes we did use cats in A & P in college. I am a big cat lover and thought I would have a problem with it(was also pregnant at the time) The kitty cats still had fur on the the heads, feet and tails (so you could tell what color they were) Anyway - our instructor pointed out that they only used ones that had died of natural causes. She even pointed out, if she could tell, in the individual one what they had died from. Mine had a twisted intestine. After the initial shock of the smell when you pull it out of the bag , I kinda forgot what I was working with. Ginger in FL
  5. I actually went back to the FL DOH web site and could not fine that list again. I did down load it the first time I found it, but like I said, I can't access it. But I went to the CE Broker site and signed up (for free) to access their list of approved providers and saw that Nursing Spectrum (mentioned above) was listed, so that's who I am going to use for my original 3 required CEU to get my original LPN license by endorsement. If I find anything esle, I will post it. Ginger
  6. There is a list of approved ce providers on the florida website but it is in excel and I don't have that program. I have been trying to get the list so that I could do the 3 areas I need to apply for a florida license by endorsement. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA Ginger in FL
  7. I am presently taking 2 pre-req courses required for the community college (FL) for their ADN program. I am enrolled in 2 more for next semester but they dont have to be completed to enroll. I am going to apply for the jan class and hope my "points" will be enough to be accepted. I am an (GA) LPN, but not currently working. --- Good luck to everyone!!!! Ginger in FL
  8. I have been reading threads about both of these colleges and it seems that SJRCC might be easier to get into than FCCJ as far as their nursing program. Is this true or does it just depend on when you apply and your grades, etc. Anyone have and idea. Also - does it take forever to get register at SJRCC, because it took me awhile to get in at FCCJ. Thanks for any info!!! Ginger D in JAcksonville.
