If ia am how was the entrance exam... and if so how are you accepted is it on a first come first seve basis or the highest score gets in.... i am new to new jersey and found this school to be one the cheapest for my budget... thanks for the response... Gina

  4. has anyone gone to middlesex community college in nj for lpn course???
  5. I will for sure check out your posts.. I understand I have been bouncing back n forth the last year trying to get into this college that school missing deadlines because i was unsure.. i was always told get your foot in the door and try something close to an rn to see if you would ven like the field so i went and recieved my cna although many people are not keen on cna"s job it gave me a sense of what i ruly wanted to do.. i know a ton of people discourage to waste made a great decision for yourself and have learnedmore about yourself and what you love about this field... thanks again:nurse:
  6. Julz920, thanks for that message.. I have been going back n forth about yes paying that much i passed the testing and i can start in december.. like you i want to get in and out.. i am much older than you 31 no kids not married just moved to jersey i have heard the program is pretty good.... i qualified for a grant about $5,500 they said i can apply for a stafford loan and a personal loan.. I heard that nj may have a state government loan as well if that is the case and you end up getting half off the tution paid off great. I believe they said you dont have to start paying back the loan until 6mths after you graduate....??? thanks again and congratulations on becoming a graduate im sure it feels great
  7. Thank you so much for that information.... i passed all 90"s on the english part it was the math that threw me off.. i was thinking of taking some online pre-req;s to get out of the way for now as i have never been to college onlyt have my cna... ok so basically i have to do all my pre-req's get my associates for now and than apply for a nursing school so all in all it could take over two yrs.... I wish everyone tghe best of luck in nursing as it seems as though there are soo many passionate people on here wanting be become an rn such as myself.... I am looking into thr community colleges and even in nj.. i realize that most lpn work in nursing homes or rehibilitation centers so thats why i was thinking of doing the lpn than bridge over i just couldnt see paying 24,000 for an lpn school when most places in other states are around 5,000.00 all this information is great....:)
  8. :uhoh3:hello everyone i have read all of the posts however i missed the entrance exam by 1% and basically i was told :see ya next year for testing" i am new to the area and i am wondering if there is another school like st pauls where there is no waiting list for rn.... I have my cna and thinking of just doing the lpn first than rn. i have left several posts on other threads as i am new to this site and all the the info would be so helpful... i wen to lincoln tech to check out the lpn course after i failed the test at st pauls and they are around 25,000 for lpn i have so many mixed feelings as i am 31 and i want to get in and start working as like everyone else money is tight..... any input would be sooo helpful:uhoh3:..... soooo confused
  9. kdbworkingmom, yeah california is tough sometimes before i moved to nj i was accepted into american career college for lpn it was 33,000 neddless to say i moved and adjusting to nj is tough ive heard that most work for lpn is in florida its tough there are soo many of us wanting to work and become the best nurses we can be and its so difficult everywhere.
  10. missjay919, thank you so much for the advice.. i know california is tough i used to live there. I am just having a hard time thinking of spending all that money for an lpn job. i have an opportunity to work for a hospital as a cna and they would pay for my nusing school it would just take me much longer.... its such a shame that there is all this hype for nurses and lpns and than once you finish your stuck... ill definitly do my homework thanks again:clown:
  11. is lincoln tech in edison nj for lpn course worth all the money you have to pay.. does anyone who has gone to linclon tech feel they got there monies worth.....
