I took mine at 8am today, got 265 questions and just did the PVT and got a good pop up! I still am worried that it was a fluke...I have really bad luck. I was the same way after the exam...I felt like I failed. I wont start celebrating until I see my name on the BON site with a number. Congrats to you!

I just took my NCLEX today at 8am. I took all 265 questions and got a good pop up but, until I see it on the BON for my state I wont be 100% convinced...Congrats in advance to you!!!!

I am currently a student and we are "working"/studying under our CI's license. In my program, we were told that we need to work WITH the assigned RN and for most tasks we have to have our CI with us until they feel that we can properly complete the task. Maybe that school/program doesn't lay down appropriate ground rules for their students or train their CIs. It sounds like you are in a tough situation and a stressful one. I hope everything works out for you.

I will be graduating from an ADN program located in Cincinnati, OH. I have very good grades and won multiple leadership awards during my education. My boyfriend is currently working in LA (only been there 3 months) and I would really like to move out there with him but, he isn't familiar with any hospitals or colleges/universities. Does anyone know of any RN to BSN programs in LA or near LA that they could recommend? I am on the fence on when to move and just want to get all the information I can so I can make an educated decision. Thanks everyone!

This is my opinion on this situation... I agree that new nurses are being rapidly processed. But, at the same time, how many of those new nurses are actually skilled in the field? I have been around some newer nurses that make me wonder how they even passed the NCLEX. I know the job market is rough right now. And I know I am just a nursing student so I dont know what it is like to be job hunting. But, everyone has a shot at getting hired. Regardless on being a seasoned nurse or a new nurse. You have to show them what you've got. Plus, being positive never hurt. Im sorry if I might of restated something that was already said, I got half way through the posts and felt the need to throw my 2 cents out there. I'm still a newbie at posting.

The higher the GPA the better. A 3.40 is a awesome GPA, CONGRATS! You should be proud of your acheivement! :)

I am currently in nursing school. I have always wanted to be a nurse but, at the same time I have also been interested in teaching. Has anyone ever heard of a nurse having a full time job at a hospital but, teaches at a local college/university part time for a class or clinicals? I feel like that would be awesome for me, id be able to have my cake and eat it too. :redpinkhe I want to continue my education after I graduate- a dual degree program with a masters in nursing and masters of education then eventually to get my PhD. Is there anyone who currently is a full time hospital nurse and a part time teacher?

I'm glad that others share my opinion on the issue! I feel as though she is into nursing for the pay checks and maybe not so much for being a patients advocate and supporter. This was a good way to vent about the issue. I do have to say I miss my neon pink nail polish but, I just put it on my toes instead! :)

This is my first post on allnurses, and I wasnt sure where to ask this question...Hopefully I dont make anyone mad if its in the wrong spot! I am a student and at my school we cannot have acrylic fingernails (I feel like this is standard in nursing schools). One of my peers is taking it hard that she had to take hers off when school started. She states that once she graduates, passes the NCLEX and secures a job that she will get her nails back. I feel like getting her nails back is what is keeping her in nursing school. I was wondering if current nurses could shed some light to me, so maybe I can pass some info along to her or I can just make her stop talking about it because I hear about it on a daily basis. Thanks
