Took NCLEX PN today
I am happy to say I took my test this morning. After 85 questions and a massive headache my computer shut off. I wasnt sure how to feel becuase I felt I had to guess on a lot of questions. I got 1 or 2 meds and alot of priority and SATA. I came home after the test and did the PVT and got the "good pop up". I have read enough on this site to believe in this trick and it is enough to get me through this weekend before I know the official results. My advice to anyone taking it soon is to study as many questions as possible and work on those that you are weak in. I used Saunder's and Kaplan. It took alot for me not to study yesterday but I avoided it and it was beneficial to do so. I felt fresh when I started taking the test this morning. Thank you to all who gave me advice and good luck to those who will be taking their NCLEX soon:redbeathe

NCLEX in 3 weeks
I have been doing Saunder's questions every night. 150-200 questions. I am taking mine Friday and this sense of calm is starting to take me over now. I think that may be a good sign.

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Well, I'll be taking the test this Friday @ 11:30 and plan to PVT right after the test, as this determines the Halloween drinking I will do this weekend.

Okay, with a week to go. I sincerely feel the panic settling in. Seriously.

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Seems that I am at a standstill with my Saunders Cd. I can't get past 83%. I wish I could take it now. This week, I will keep doing 150 questions a night. Next week, its all SATA and Pharm. So anxious, I could burst.

NCLEX in 3 weeks
I just did the exam on Saunder's with all SATA, fill in blank and dragging, out of 100 I got 57 right. I think thats pretty good, LOL. My overall questions without SATA I'm getting better, I'm at 83 avg out of 100 now. IDK what to think. Just ready.

What book are you using?

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Didn't do well on my Saunders tonight. I think its because I started studying so late and was annoyed with the questions from LaCharity. I'm a big negaholic and this could be my obstacle. I will start again tomorrow:(

NCLEX in 3 weeks
I'm feeling a little better about the Kaplan mishap after reading some reviews on them. Tonight, I will go back to my Saunder's CD using the Kaplan strategies. 150-200 questions a night and reviewing content I am weak in. I'm ready to be a nurse!! 18 days left.

done with kaplan's question trainer . did bad :(
I did the Kaplan Qbank for PN and did terrible. I did some research and apparently Kaplan has some of the toughest question banks.

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Did Kaplan questions tonight and felt like an idiot. I did 100 questions and missed 26, after I had studied and re-studied the strategies. It seems the more I study, the more nervous I get!

Failed the NCLEX PN twice, going on my 3rd time ...tips?
I am taking my NCLEX-PN in 3 weeks for the first time. I am finding the Saunders CD very helpful, its surprises me that you did not. But The Kaplan book is definitely a needed accessory to a bigger book that builds your knowledge base. Kaplan gives you the strategies which help you break down the question, identify words that eliminate certain answer choices. I think a knowledge on how to answer the question is REQUIRED to answer the NCLEX-PN questions. Good luck!

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Well, I am averaging 80% on all the tests and quizzes I do on my CD-ROM. SATA actually isn't giving me THAT much of a problem(knock on wood). I am just scared they will throw all these meds at me, because if that's the case I will surely fail.

i passed!!
Yes, let us all know! What were your techniques, etc.

NCLEX in 3 weeks
Hello. I am a graduate PN. I have scheduled ,my NCLEX for October 29th and I am a nervous wreck. I study religiously every night. I do 100-200 questions nightly through my Saunders CD-Roms. I am having problems with the medications and a few of the disorders. I was wondering has anyone taken their NCLEX recently and what was the content? Was there a lot of meds, SATA, etc? Also, give me some study tips for the meds if possible. Thanks:)

Nclex paperwork
I contacted the NCLEX people today via email and they said they have not received anything from me! I just know something is wrong! Why me?? They say it could take 6-8 weeks, but why then is everyone else from my class getting their confirmations now?

Nclex paperwork
Hello. I am newly graduated GPN as of 8/26. I have mailed in my paperwork to Pearson Vue, other students have received confirmation of their payment by email. I did not supply an email and have not received anything via US mail. I mailed my paperwork last Wednesday and some students mailed their payment last Friday and received confirmation by email today. What is the delay between mail and email with this portion of NCLEX processing?
