Freaking out
^^^This can help a lot, you also might try looking up videos on the subjects too. I know a lot of people that have used khan academy to help them in their prereqs.

Is 35 too old to start from Scratch?
I hate to break this to you but 35 is not OLD. I can attest to this being 35 myself. Even if she doesn't graduate until she's 40 or older retirement age is continuing to increase. I believe that currently the social security age to receive full benefits is 67 and they are pushing to increase that to age to 70. So if she wants to retire at that age (and many intend to work until they just can't) she has 25-30 years of being an RN ahead of her. Disagree all you want but the grown-ups are not taking you seriously. Keep putting one foot in front of the other OP! I'm applying to my program this fall (had to take a break from school unfortunately a couple of years ago) I guess us OLD people can learn together.

Poll: Was your anatomy & physio separate or combined?
Mine was one combined, there was very little anatomy in my class though. I think I learned more anatomy from my medical terminology class! If I could do it over I would take them separately.

Can an OK student nurse challenge the CNA exam?
Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Can an OK student nurse challenge the CNA exam?
I found this on OBON website, To qualify for writing the NCLEX-PN via the equivalency provision, you must have successfully completed a minimum of one academic year of an RN nursing education program approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or a similar board in another state, with a minimum 2.0 GPA and a grade of “C” or higher in all nursing courses http://www.ok.gov/nursing/nclex7.pdf

Apartment Hunting-OKC
I agree whole heartedly with this! I have lived in Midwest City since I moved here in 2009. The apartments I lived in when I first got here were just broken into this weekend by a group posing as MWC swat team (saw it on the news). I would personally recommend Moore, it is a much nicer area!

CNA and AUA..What is the difference? Help this dude lol
Ahh the foot in the door, I fortunately have a couple of connections at area hospitals so hopefully that will work in my favor. Rose state's program has great pass rate for the NCLEX too. Similar to OCCCs I believe. I know this is what most nurses say but NICU is where I would love to be. I think I could be happy in any area but that is the dream. The OR is another area I think I would really enjoy. I am hoping to get on at OU childrens after school (my connections are at Mercy, still a great hospital though!) fingers crossed....fingers crossed I get into the nursing program period! LOL How about you?

CNA and AUA..What is the difference? Help this dude lol
Oh, sorry LOL. It is definitely a very exciting prospect. I should start nursing classes in January, pending acceptance. I am considering taking it as far as DNP myself (if I'm not utterly sick of being in school after I make through my ADN and BSN). I think your enthusiasm will take you far, don't lose that! I see that you are planning on going to OCCC (great school). If you find that you need to work and can't make it financially to work a much lower paying job, Rose State has an online option where the didactic portion is completely online (minus exams). This is the program I am hoping to get into, I can't get out of working full-time, dang landlord expects rent every month!

Are you an organ donor?
I am an organ donor. I can understand money coming in to play for some people as a reason not to do it. Health care is big business, but I try think of how I would feel if someone didn't donate when they could have saved my life or a member of my family, just because they didn't want to line the hospitals pocket. I personally couldn't put a price on life. People dying because they couldn't find a donor doesn't hurt the hospital but it does hurt the family of the person who passes on. People are entitled to do what they wish with own bodies and I pass no judgment, this is just my :)
