  2. Thank you for the response:) Helped alot. I was going to look at a Littman cause I knew of their reputation. I plan on going for my RN then get a BSN later and was just curious as to what others use!
  3. Hi I just started LPN school, I bought an ADC 603 steth. Any opinions on this steth? Is it a good one/is it comparable to Littman??? Thank you for your help!:)
  4. Had my first day of class today!!! We introduced ourselves(our class is 26) and started reading the handbook. We got out early cuz of snow:crying2: But Wednesday we should b getting our books and diving in!

  7. Thank you for the replies :). What kind of extra education would I need to pursue for scrubbing in?
  8. I'm going to be attending and LPN program, and I'm aiming for my RN and eventually would like to become a Scrub Nurse. In one of the clinicals that we go through is Med/Surg and we get to go into surgeries. My Question is do I have to become an RN to be able to become a Scrub Nurse or can I be an LPN and do it while I get my RN? And any advice you can give me as to ways of obtaining extra training to become a Scrub Nurse? Is there a certain continuing education to take or is it train on the job? If there is a certain CEU, which one is the best to take? Thank you very much for taking your time to read my post:D
  9. https://jobs.missouri.edu/vacancylist.php#lvl3_135 There's the website. I guess that $13.40/hr was for student LPN's getting ready to graduate. But you never know!!! I belive there is like 5-6 postings for LPN's. And I;m sure if you're going back to school for your RN they'll definitely help out
  10. Yeah definitly check it out! I'm hoping to get in an LPN program and I like checking out hospital boards just to see openings and if they provide any benefits. When I saw that i thought "unreal!" I think that was only under one lpn posting though
  11. I was looking on MU's hospital board at LPN job posts and one of them was I think $13-15 plus 75% off MU tuition and benefits. You may want to check that out. Sorry I don't have the website I just googled Mizzou hospital jobs.
  12. What area in Mo are you in? I just took my TEAS test and got a 78 and all I have to do is go for an interview and hopefully get selected for starting LPN program in January. I was curious if you are more in the KC/STL area or Jeff City/Columbia. I live at the 10 minutes north of the lake and was hoping to get an idea on the pay scale. Thank you! :)
