I'm 45....haven't been in school in a very long time. the first semester of lpn I believe lets u sit in for can if you'd like to work while in school.... Don't know much about the cna program. If u study the teas workbook....you'd ace the teas.

Did the evening March program start already? I was supposed to start in January, but needed surgery that took longer than I wanted to recoop... so i start in May....I didn't think of March/evening...dang.... the wait SUCKS hope all that started are LOVING it!!!! wave hello to me in May...

I will now get the list of books and attempt to buy them on my own as the school wants $700. Thanks for the first great piece of advice! Let's hope we can keep helping one another.... I also want to do the RN program. I was at a community college in NJ, before moving to PA and applying for the LPN program here....(in NJ the LPN and RN clincals both had a 2 year wait) The community college turned a 2 year associate degree program into a 4 year program by forcing you to take A&P I&II and then Microbiology (and other pre-courses) before ANY nursing courses.THen with the 2 year wait....it was a SIX year program. I came in with most of the necessary electives. Scares me a bit how many people ARE becoming nurses, causing the LONG waits...what will happen when everyone graduates. So, I think doing the LPN and getting employed quicker can't hurt :) Good luck to all of us... enjoy your holidays as after we BEGIN!!! our YEAR journey to nursehood!!! ps. I NOW need a hysterectomy...hoping I heal in time for school. Anyone know when the actual clinicals start? I have my uniform try-on Monday. and Then our orientation isn't until Dec 21. good luck

Glina, I was taking A&P 1 and English ! for pre-RN at a community college. I moved to PA and having difficulty getting into an RN program, so am also taking LPN with intent on continuing onto RN.... Thanks for asking this question... it was what I was searching for :)

they said group interview to me and thinking we have the same time......... and they HAVE to understand you are pregnant.... they are nurses :) don't fret you passed the test!!!!!! ps. first baby?

Hello, I also applied to Willow street and just took and passed my Teas... when are you planning on entering program? day or evening? I have my interview on Wednesday.

I just have to say, be proud and happy you are an RN I can't get into the programs at all. I have credits, so most programs rather take people with none and make more money...every school is a business... a job will come... anyone else concerned about the amount of people ENTERING the field and in school? a hospital in Montclair NJ laid off RN's and so did Lancaster General...
