Congrats Matthias!

Possible to Pass NCLEX Without Mastering SATAs?
The best bet on how to get through the SATA is to treat each answer if it was a True or False. Only look at one answer at a time. If you look at all the answers at once it will just confuse you.

Possible to Pass NCLEX Without Mastering SATAs?
I only got 5-10 SATA. I passed with 75 questions. However, some of my classmates got 35-40 questions out of 75. So it is random on which style test you get and what topics are covered. You should be prepared to get those type of questions just in case. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

230 on NCLEX...?
I don't think that the number of questions means anything. I had three classmates (that I know of) whose test shut off at 183, 136 and 190 questions. Did you try the PVT? Try it and you will know if you passed. Good luck.

Do you ever feel ready to take NCLEX?
Relax. Every NCLEX test is different for each person. I barely had 5-10 SATA, whereas some of my classmates had 20-35 of them! I passed with 75 questions. You can get other higher level questions that require analytical thinking requiring you to bring in many different aspects of knowledge from your nursing school classes. Take each question one at a time, don't stress out if it feels like you don't know the answer...just don't rush it. If it does not shut off at 75, don't freak...as long as it is giving you questions...you are still are taking the test. Don't let yourself be frazzled and let this test screw with your head (It can do that really easy!). Good luck and let us know.

The GI upset has started
Thank you both sharpeimom and GitanoRN. It has been hard on all of us, but one good thing has come out of this. Prior to this my father and I were estranged for over 6 years. We have reconnected and are speaking again. There is still a lot of work to do on both sides, but at least there is some good coming from this. I have told my family about all the warm thoughts and prayers from this community, my former classmates and former nursing instructors. Thank you all.

The GI upset has started
I know how you feel. I had one of the most emotionally stressfull weeks of my life this past week (with my little brother killing himself r/t schizophrenia). It was so hard to concentrate to study/review etc. I was so out of it I forgot to print off my ATT letter, thankfully another office was open and a sweet lady allowed me to use her computer to print it out so I got to sit on time (phew). So I was at question 30 and realized that I had not gotten any SATA questions at all yet. I freaked out for a minute or so wondering if I was just bombing the exam. All in all I had a total of just 6-8 SATA. I just kept going one question at a time and when I hit "next" on #75 it shut off. The PVT trick says I passed. So best of luck. Focus, relax and you can do this! GL and let us know.

NCLEX-RN tomorrow at 8am
Wow, that was a quick turn around! I keep checking and the PVT pop up is still there. Hopefully SCBON gets my # quick!

NCLEX-RN on 6/5 8am (EST)
It was hard as heck! I didn't count how many SATA I had, but I know I had more than 5 and less than 10. That sort of freaked me out b/c I kept on thinking that I was not going to pass b/c I was not getting a lot of them. Thanks JRich. Still waiting for the official results though!

NCLEX-RN on 6/5 8am (EST)
Just got home from the testing center. 75 questions and it shut off. I got the good pop up from the website. So it looks like I passed! I can put RN after BSN now! Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!

Congrats JRich. I know that is a huge relief off of your shoulders...T-minus 11 hours for me now.

NCLEX-RN on 6/5 8am (EST)
Short update. My little brother just started hearing voices about 3 months or so ago. Unfortunately they were command hallucinations and he was able to function and keep himself out of being involun committed. While that is very tragic and very sad, it makes it easier for me to deal with it and be mad at the disease and not at him. On another note, by this time tomorrow I will have taken my NCLEX and should be able to do the PVT to find out my results. 2 of my ABSN classmates are taking it with me as well. If you could keep me in your thoughts and prayers today and tomorrow (especially tonight for a good nights sleep)...I would appreciate it. I will update here as soon as I know! Thank you all.

NCLEX-RN on 6/5 8am (EST)
Thank you everyone. Every little bit helps. I wish I could reschedule...but June is almost all booked up and I am supposed to start my position on 6/18. Not much I can do except multi-task here and focus. His note that he left actually is of some small help. I will keep everyone updated with NCLEX results...look for it around 11am or so on the 5th. Hopefully I will know before then.

Well, I just found out about an hour ago that my little brother killed himself this morning. I am a total loss of what to do....
