  1. The 'golden hand cuffs' require that I remain with my employer until the end. Love the work I do as a Hospice RN in the field, am blessed to have a great work schedule and my personal life is great. And I'm not so sure Social Security will be viable in 10 years.
  2. Quack. Bark. Moo. 'Time Management' requires the correct amount of time to manage all this is required of our overworked RN's.
  3. My dear, I'm afraid you will have to do your own assignment. Nursing is all about creative problem solving and using your brain. As nursing program assignments go, this one doesn't sound too hard.
  4. LOVE the work. Hate the beauracracy and ALL that dead wood at the top who are clueless about the intensity of the work we do.
  5. I want all of the above AND I want my manager and employer to support me with all that I want.
  6. Is there any RN out there who can manage her/his workload and documentation AND take lunch and breaks. Doubtful.
  7. In California it is illegal as in against the law to hide meds in food.
  8. Are you offered any compensation for 5 hours of shadowing? Working in Northern California for a unionized large nonprofit, there is no requirement to shadow for 5 hours. We call that orientation and are paid.
