  1. Haha-I agree!! It is definitely what held me over!! The wait it intense. :)
  2. I took my RN at 8- finished at 9:15 and got the pop at up 10:30. It works :) congrats!
  3. I felt this way too, last week- but sure enough it worked. Theure were even two of my classmates who got the credit card page and found out a few days later they did not pass! No reason to get your hopes up! Congrats- you passed!!!
  4. You won't have to wait! They don't count weekends- but if you took it at 1pm on Friday Theb your results aren't ready until 1pm today sometimes an hour or so later. They will be available though. I took mine on Thursday an mine were available on Saturday morning :) good luck
  5. I had absolutely no dosage. Every test varies. I didn't do the hurst review I just bought the book (40.00 vs 300.00) it hits hi points. Every test is completely different!! Review your stuff and definitely relax the day before. Breathe and pray! You made it through nursing school - you can pass NCLEX! I also convinced myself I was going to take a 265 question test- that way if i did- I wouldn't be upset. It doesn't matter how many questions you get. I passed with 75. A girl in my class failed with 75. We've also had someone pass with 265. Either way- dont over think it- go with your gut feeling and be done with it. You will do amazing!
  6. I disagree when people say there is no way to prepare for this test! You have to know core content! The Hurst Review was definitely what caused me to pass. My computer cut off at 75. But also get the Prioritization book that I mentioned above by Linda Lacharity! It helped with about 60% of my exam.
  7. You both will do wonderful, I'm sure! If you have studied then you should do well!
  8. I took my NCLEX Thursday & found out this morning that I passed!!! I hardly did any questions but reviewed core content. I purchased the Hurst Review RN book from Barnes and Nobles and it was the key to my success along with Linda LaCharity's book- Delegation,Prioritization,&Assessment. (if you buy any book buy this one!) it's amazing! Good luck! If you know your content you will do great!!
  9. It does work a girl in my class stopped at 75 and got the cc page and found out this am she did not pass I stopped at 75 got the "good" pop up and found out I passed! God is great!!
  10. I took mine at 8 am Thursday! Both of our results should be ready in the morning :) I also got the "good" pop up. Praying it works as well! Let me know :)
  11. Well I will find out at 8am- in the morning :) -Mississippi Board here! Good luck!! Hopefully the trick works :)
  12. Good luck to you too!! Haha- on the one more question- I did the exact same thing except I sat there staring at the screen with my mouth open haha :) The wait is torture!! Hope we both pass :)
  13. Good luck to you too!! Haha- on the one more question- I did the exact same thing except I sat there staring at the screen with my mouth open haha :) The wait is torture!! Hope we both pass :)
  14. I took my exam @ 8 am today- it took me a little over an hour- the infamous "blue screen" came on after 75 questions- I came home and got the "good" pop up! Will let you know Saturday as soon as my Quick Results are available!! :)
  15. They do give you feedback on what areas you need to work on, our instructors informed us of that. I am studying Hurst & Rinehart Reviews. Any online review helps- because it breaks everything down for you. :) Good luck next time. There is a reason for everything study hard and get it next time. :)
  16. Clinicals are the best part :) - you learn so much and once youre actually out doing things - you will realize how natural things are to you. I loved clinicals!
  17. I am unsure of the 'Me" part but, I remember the UNLOAD: U-pright; N-itro; L-lasix; O2; Digitalis/Dopamine :) UNLOAD- i think get off (& with CHF you want to get the fluid off)
  18. PS: Good luck!! I have the Exam Cram book by Wilda Rinehart- it hits hi points and it wonderful. :)
  19. Unfortunately.. yes , Meds are my weaker area as well.) I have done a review online that has taught me to target drugs by classes (statins, sartans, prils, lol's,) etc. That has helped tremendously. Try to look at it that way. If you can figure out the drug is a certain class-the side/adverse effects and nursing actions are usually the same. Our director of the program said that is why so many people take different numbers of questions. If it sees that you missed lets say, 3 questions in a certain area then it may give you 6 more in that area--to see if you can do better. You can also go to the national counsel of nclex website (http://www.ncsbn.org/) and look @ the test plan so you know what majority to expect.
  20. I got an Ultrascope stethoscope (made my Littmann) - It has a Lifetime warranty and they are even cute- Definitely pricey but so worth it.
  21. "Offer self" and talk with the patient. I always think like when I am sick what I love- (extra pillows, blankets, food/drinks- anything that goes a little 'more' than you have to) Good Luck :)
  22. Very normal! You will feel this probably the entire time you are in school, until you are where I am (studying for NCLEX) and I can imagine we will all even feel this way once we have jobs. Its an amazing profession and the accomplishment you have already achieved (getting in) is an amazing one. Stay in the books-attend class-take nclex questions (relating to what your studying-as you go) and you will do great! Good luck!! :)
  23. I have heard the Hurst is good BUT- our school did the Rinehart Review (which is 300.00 @ school and only 60.00 on line). It comes with a book to follow along and fill in blanks for the review and a cram-master exam c.d. I am currently studying for NCLEX as well. Rinehart also guarentees pass and if you attend one review then you can attend as many as you want across the state/country/etc for a lifetime. :)
