  1. That is a dream to stay home and go to CRNA school. Less loans to take out, but it never works out that way. At least you will have 2 options for CRNA schools. One in Utah and one in your hometown. The more options the better to get accepted. It's so competitive out there and I wish you luck!! You will enjoy any decision you will make, just follow your heart and guts, lol!!
  2. Are there CRNA schools in Utah? If yes and you can see yourself live in Utah, then I would do it. Your goal is to be a CRNA and this is the next step. You never know, the schools over there are not competitive and you working in the hospital will give you an advantage.
  3. I would be prepared for any type question. Be prepared when they ask the population you take care for, they may ask your typical work shift, what gtts are typical in your unit. I would look at the threads here about interview questions & practice from there. Good luck to you!!!! Regarding about this program, I only know one person that got accepted & he was the first cohort. I didn't know him personally, he was a traveller in my hospital. I heard he got accepted in this program through the grapevine. Let us know how it is here & share your experience :)
  4. If you can find a place with furniture included, there isn't really much you need to bring. I would then sell all my furniture and have some cash for the move. It seems you
  5. Hi! I was asking you, but then I saw previous posts and you mentioned the school you got accepted to. Congrats to you! It's been an eye opener for me how hard it is to get to any school and also how easily you can narrow it down if you choose a place that doesn't need a gre and the degree offered is an msn. I saw a couple of schools that has MS in Biology. I prefer an MSN.
  6. Which CRNA program are you in? I am too a hands on person and remember things by referencing them. I still continue to be like that in my work where I remember certain meds or how to do a procedure because I took care of the patient who had these things done or unknown med I gave. The front loaded program makes sense because learning doesn't really stop. You may have forgotten a certain procedure or vaguely remember it, but once you are introduced to it hands on, you will never forget. I can see myself go home after a clinical day and quickly look up something I had totally forgotten and learn more about it to retain it.
  7. google all crna schools. that should help about list of schools. good luck!!
  8. Congrats everyone! I didn't get an email either. Nail the interviews, good luck!!!
  9. Congrats!! Good luck in the interviews! Btw, is your last name happens to be early I'm the alphabet?? I haven't gotten an email. I don't think I got an interview. I'll wait for tomorrow. Congrats again!!!
  10. I received my envelope that everything was complete early December. I would follow up with them. I didn't know we can call, gosh, I'm a bit nervous to call. I will wait till next week. Maybe they are having some delays if the 1/5 email is true. I still haven't received an email
  11. It's the location. You live in the Bay area where the cost of living is higher and you are working 4 twelves to attain that income.
  12. Hi everyone! No word yet as well. It'll be a nerve racking all this month. I read a post from someone the timeline of the process. You can find it in my thread post history. It was very helpful. There is one that wrote about how the interview went. Idk, it's hard to know what this school wants. I feel all of us have a chance but it's like a long shot. Good luck to everyone!!
  13. Thank you! Will sure look into this one.
  14. Has anyone heard of this program? Fairly affordable, but a new program. Another Q, does it matter if it's a new program? Also, is it risky?
  15. Hi! Thank you for this! BTW, how did you do? It's a tough school. I hope you got in :)
