I will be in training for the 90 days so i dont understand how it will be cheap labor. Im pretty sure I will not be left alone if someone is in an emergency. There will be fellow nurses and MD. I guess its hard to explain how much spanish i understand and can speak. No spanish is not the only thing. Just me picking up all of the duties. She also stated that she would not leave me on the floor unless i feel comfortable. That will not be until the remodeled clinic is open in aug 2011. So i have 90 days to show her my knowledge. I will still continue to find work just to cover my a** if she doesnt offer me a full time position

Possibly $16..and she was willing to start me at 15 but becuause of the spanish she did the tempt to hire. I have been looking since aug and i have been on 5interviews..i am a new graduate with no previous experience and yes that will be my pay 13.50 while i pick up on my spanish. The clinic is only 5min away from my house also. I know that i will have to have a full conbersation with people and i can understamd basic spanish but not in detail. Its hard to explain..

i understand some spanish words i am not completely illiterate in spanish but i have a hard time speaking it. The pay is only for the 90 days.

Hi, I just recieved this offer today for a clinic in San Antonio, Tx. The offer was for a bi-lingual LVN that does basic clinical duties, the bad part is im not bi-lingual and the DON does know that and she said she would be willing to do a TEMP TO HIRE for 90 days and when the 90 days is up she will see how I am progressing and how my spanish is improving and if i can get a history and physical in spanish. She said she would be willing to start me at $13.50 and after the 90 days she will raise the pay if she decides to keep me and put me at a full time position at a new clinic they are remodeling. It does have paid holidays and the hours are mon-fri 8-5pm. and it does include insurance, life insurance and 401K. What do ya think? Normal pay for LVN that i know of is LTC 18.00 new grad at a hospital 14.00. I have been looking for a clinc job becuause I want to go back to school in the evenings and weekends. cost of living is not bad here in SA. I am only 21years old. An apartment rent is about $550.

im trying so hard not to think the worst...i really want this job..but all i can do is wait! and i really want to start working again. 3wks ago i worked in a LTC place and quit due to this new job and the LTC was a risk to my license,,i was only orientated for a wk and was put on the floor as a new grad alone with 42pt.

im trying...i was thinking maybe i will just wait to call or anything until monday??? i really want this job and i hope they call me back soon!!

I am just kinda "iffy" because she was out monday due to her mom being in the hospital. I dont want to be so pushy that i dont seem to care if she has family problems. I have called her office and she never answers. The things is I never know what clinic she will be at to go to that specific clinic and ask for her.

hi,, i have wrote about this before but just want to update and get some advice. I recently went back to centro med clinic and asked if they had any new positions open and was told that yes they would love to have me work there and remember me from the last time i went to apply. the supervisor then told me that she would fax my papers to her boss and wait for her to call her back. well she called me back and said that she had to wait for my background check to get back in and then we can go from there. well that was wednesday Nov.3,2010 and i had not heard anything from them so i called back friday Nov 5,2010. The lady i had spoke to said that she really wanted me for her clinic but her boss wants to move me to pedi department in another clinic and i am fine with that as long as i get in with the company. Later that day i recieved a call from her boss and she told me i would like to meet with you on Monday Nov.8 at 11am to get to know you and all that.. Monday came and i showed up at 11am and the boss was called and she said she was out on a family emergency and to leave my name and number so i did. I called the first lady i had been speaking to yesterday and she said that her boss had called me to say that she was sorry about not being there but she still wants me to work there at the clinic and would probably be able to meet with me tomorrow thursday but i did not recieve a call today giving me a time or anything and i dont know if maybe she is still out on family emergency. what gets me is the waiting..I tried calling her today but no answer. i dont know if i should go in to the clinic tomorrow and see if shes in or just continue to wait on her phone call??

I got the call that she checked my references and she really likes me but she offered the position i applied for to someone else that had done that job before but she is going to talk to her boss and open up a position especially for me.. She told me it could be as early as this upcoming week but if i dont hear back by wednesday to call her on friday. she also said she thinks i will really like it at centro med and they do not usually accept new graduates but she will train me herself not anyone else and show me the computer program they use and all.

Ive had past interview and with no luck but i recently had an interview with centro med clinic in san antonio,tx it was a pretty straight forward interview..I gave my resume she asked me to tell her about myself and she began asking me to say yes or no to answers such as have i checked BS, BP, given infants shots, etc. etc. and asked me when was i available and what was the lowest amount of money i would take and she also wanted a copy of my SS card, LVN license, HS Diploma,CPR card, and DL. She began talking to me of the duties i would be doing but she would say, "This is what ull do" and so on and so forth and gave me a tour and where i would be located within the facility. Also introduced me to some workers. She then said i just need to check your references and will give you a call right after. That was last thursday. I talked to her today being that i have not heard back. She said she had been real busy and had not had time to check my references but as soon as she does she will call me right away and then stated "Dont worry I have not forgotten about you" so im hoping this means she wants to hire me what do you guys think??? our The hours are great! Benefits too.... Hope to hear back soon...

practice as many questions a day,,but never do more than 100 a day!!! find out what ur weak point is and go from there..

Dont pay attention to the scores...i used exam cram and saunders....i also wrote things down that i did not understand. I bought a notebook and kept it with me at all times and made flashcards with the meds i did not understand. Repetition. Dont memorize but know the material definite. if i did not understand a procedure or disease GOOGLE!!!see images LOL.... or youtube... also dont over study...take brakes... hope u pass...im a 2nd time passer and this is what i did the second time....

thank you everyone for the responses and yea ya are right LTC isnt the end of the world maybe i can make a difference in the way things are going at a cetaing facility and hopefully treat residents a little better. I think I will put in an application for a LTC that is hiring. I actually did my clinicals during school at this facility. lol....crazy huh..experience is experience right!!

hi,,im from san antonio, texas i recently graduated may 2010 received my license aug 2010 i am having no luck finding a job and i need one bad....it sucks not being able to find a job..i really dont want to work in ltc but im kinda leaning toward that as a last resort..i dnt know wat else to do...everyone wants experience and i dont have any...but how am i supposed to if no one will give me a chance.

I live here in TX and i sent all my information before the 45 days were up and when i recieved my ATT it had the dates I was eligible to retake my test.

Do the PVT trick,, it worked for me...

thank you evry1,,i should find out sunday after 12pm...ive keep doing the pvt trick and keep getting the pop up!!! im hoping it works,,im praying it does...there are some good job openings here in sa,tx....i really want to go out and apply for them...

i just got back from taking the test.....i got 205 questions.... i did the PVT trick and got the "GOOD POP UP" lets hope this trick works for me.....

all i can say is OMG! OMG! OMG! its really starting to sink in... I will be retaking my NCLEX-PN tomorrow... i know for a fact that i have studied more, done a lot more questions.. and actually learned some stuff that i did not know before.. i also read a lot of post on this website that helped a lot... i guess all i can do is pray now and hope for the best... plz pray for me...no1 understands how bad i need this... plz,plz,plz,,,i feel like im going :barf01: -Mandy-
