  1. I find this thread very interesting for personal reasons, and it has taught me something that I was unaware of until now. I made the decision to receive the hep B series when I started to nursing school to protect myself, and I received my last hep B shot of the series in the beginning of April this year. At the end of April, several of my joints became inflamed, swollen, painful, and warm to the touch. I was miserable. My doctor ran tests, and then referred me to a rheumatologist. I have since been diagnosed with lupus. I am not saying that the vaccination has caused the development of lupus, but I do find it very interesting considering the timing of my vaccinations and onset of symptoms. Also, many of the sites that I just looked into have either listed lupus as a side effect of the vaccination, or stated that there is a strong correlation between the vaccination and lupus. It is definitely something that I will be looking into further.
  2. Something that I have found that works for me are called Spin Pins, and they're made by Goody. I have thin hair, and have a hard time finding anything that will actually hold my hair. Since it works for my thin hair, I would think you would have no problem getting them to hold your thick hair. I am also not the most skilled person at styling hair, but I have absolutely no trouble with them and it takes me less than a minute to throw my hair up. They're only about $5, and most grocery and drug stores carry them.
  3. I don't know about a diagnosis to describe things going right. Could he be in denial of his situation? I say that because you said that he is good at coping with any anxiety that he begins to feel, could he be just dismissing those feelings, without actually coping? Maybe, Risk for ineffective coping related to related expressive mood as evidenced by euphoria, elation, cheerfulness (an exaggerated sense of well being). He could have been genuinely happy (you know him better!), just a thought.
