Hello, Just reaching out to anyone out there who will be starting the RN transition program at CHLA in 2016. Or anyone else who is currently in it since its a fairly new program. Looking forward to your replies. :)

It also goes by experience at CHLA. But in comparison to UCLA/USC/Kaiser they are the lowest paying.

That would be your base rate. After 8hrs its considered over time. So 8hrs for $36hr plus 4hrs of $54hr. Add the $amount for all and divide by 12 and you shall get your average $/hr.

Hi arcelyn, The positions for the transition program are on their website. You just apply and they will contact you from HR if they want to schedule you for an interview.

Willowita, Did you ask if they had more candidates to interview? Maybe that's why you haven't heard back yet regarding your interview.

Well at the hospital I interviewed at no department wants new grads for the relief nurse, not even in med surge. And the other hospitals are way too far for me, but thank you for trying to help :)

Had my two interviews this week. They made it very clear they don't want new grads for the relief nurse position. I guess that's the end of the road for me at county. Will have to try somewhere else. Good luck to the rest :)
