I'm feeling the same way! I'm just off of orientation in an ICU and it's very stressful. My days off are filled with dread of going back to work. I hate feeling this way. It's making me second guess hospital nursing. I know everyone keeps saying it gets better, but I feel stuck because the job market is so bad right now and I am trying to transfer out to a lower acuity unit, with no luck so far. I'm considering school nursing at this point as well. I have 9 months of hospital experience, but I'm afraid to leave the hospital because I worry I may not be able to get back into hospital nursing in the future if I want to. I'm stuck!!! Advice please!!

YES!! I got the SkillSurvey email yesterday!! I don't want to get my hopes up too much but I feel like that means an offer might be coming....??

I interviewed a week ago for the PCICU and haven't gotten the skill survey yet. How long did it take others to get it? Hoping things are just slow b/c of the holidays.

I applied online to their new grad listing a couple weeks ago and then received an invite to the event. The event was invite only, so it wasn't open to everyone, according to the recruiter.

@msss1124 - did you interview with the manager that you will actually be working for? or was it a manager from a different unit at boswell?

Congrats msss1124!! What hospital will you be at? Yeah, I had one interview with the recruiter and then one with a hiring manager. Hope I get a call soon!!

@mamaKD - I'm glad I'm not the only one who's a little confused! I interviewed with a med/surg mgr but my top choices are Tele, Peds, or PCU, and I'm open to various locations. She said she'd definitely recommend me to managers in those units, so I don't know if there would be the need for an additional interview with those managers, or what. I emailed the recruiter I was in touch with and she said decisions may go into next week....so we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I went! The manager I talked to said it would be about a week before we hear anything. Good luck!

anyone dare call HR again today to inquire about job offers/rejection notices?

I just called HR and they said they hadn't started sending out offers yet for the new grad RN residency, but they will be starting this afternoon. So there's still a slight chance!!
