  1. Hi there, recognizing burnout is so important, you did a great job of giving signs and symptoms. As nurses we seem to be in denial of stress or burnout, we nurture and want to fix things and people but we tend not to care for ourselves. great post Kudos
  2. Hi there, You seem to be having a concern with your own growth potential. Growth and change is good. As an Oncolgy nurse you know that growth means living. So learn to bend a bit in your new environment and limit the amount of stress you absorb.
  3. Hi there, wow a lot of great suggestions. But remember your are first a human being with a life. How is your stress level at home? can you decrease some stresses by taking this position? Always look at the bottom line: what will decease your stress, today or in the future? If you would like more suggestions or help please feel free to contact me, Ellen
  4. Hi there, "CherryCola". Your article is wonderful. It has a lot of very strong points on how to de-stress. Your doing a great job. Now expand on your topic and start thinking about how to reduce stress and clear the mind for a more effective stress reducing purpose. You are on the right track. Stress makes one very vulnerable to dis-ease and to making poor decisions, things nurses do not want to have happen. Let me know if I can help you. Ellen
  5. I appreciate your years of effort. A labor worth every minute. Be proud of your self. Give yourself rewards. Never stress over your career or job. Stress is a attitude killer. You are better then that!!
  6. I agree this adds to the ever present stress that nurses and caregivers are under. We give lots but get little in return. Respect would be nice, a hot meal is great.
  7. Hi MBlueRose, stress is a killer of a nurses career. I have been a nurse for 39 years and I have seen lots of great nurses burn out and lose out on their nursing and their personal lives. There are many ways , inexpensive and more costly to resolve and eliminate stress from nurses lives. I know I can't promote myself, but I can help.
  8. I am in a reentry program at a local college, I found that there are lots to learn and lots that comes back. but, the specific what I can do, and can't do is a bit confusing. The instructors tell me to go the the web site for the state board of nursing for the correct information. All I seem to get there is Legaleez. any info would be helpful. I'm a LPN in Ariz. I know I have to be IV cert. and NG tube cert. any other cert"s ??
