  1. Thank you:), want to become nurse, I feel lazy for even posting the question, because they weren't bad at all. p.s. pretend I didn't spell length wrong in my prior post, oops
  2. I need to take my healthstream module exams. Has anyone taken them? I haven't opened them up yet and I'm just wondering if anyone had any insight regarding the lenght and time involved. Are they something that I can plan to be done w/ in a couple hours? Anyone? :)
  3. I wanted section 3 as my first pick, but I must have hit "finish enrolling" a second too soon, because it gave me the "permission#required" message. So I was like, "CRAAAAAAAP!" Went back and tried again immediately but it was already full. Lol. Section 2 full as well. We were alll poised at our keyboards ready on the second. So I quickly put in for section 4 and made it @ 9:018:eek: Are any of you guys in section 4 with me? I wasn't able to enroll in Nurse18. Did anyone else have that problem?
  4. Hi roxy, I called 278-6461 to schedule the drug test. Registration starts @ 9 on Thursday (I thought). Wanttobenurse, I would be very careful about missing any orientation! Even if your transfer orientation is later than our nursing orientation, show up, because it's mandatory and you'll lose your spot if you don't go. That would be sad.
  5. Does anyone know how I erase my comment? I hate to leave a post out there that may leave a bad impression of our school, because it always had such high standards.
  6. Roxy, I don't have anything on the checklist...yet. I do know I'm going to choose the cargo pants though . My mom went to CSUS as well for her BSN (years ago of course), she said that UCDavis was great for the interesting stuff that you won't usually get to see at Sutter General. However, Sutter General would be better for learning how to take care of the more common ailments and emergencies. So...I guess it depends on what you're thinking you'd like to specialize in. I thought we'd be doing rotations at both. I saw that we have access now to the Sacramento State Nursing Sourcepage on SacCT. I also noticed that there are 80 slots for the classes. Guess they received the funding for 80 students. We never needed to stress; we could have gotten in with much lower GPA's and TEAS scores. I wouldn't be suprised if 80% of applicants made it in (well, that's for 125 applicants, 80 admitted including about 20 alternates). I think you have a good shot at getting in ylime.
  7. Hi ylime, I'm not bilingual -I wish. You can take your TEAS test up to three times for CSUS. I would say to make sure you get accepted next semester that you should take the time to retake some of your prereqs&coreqs. Even retaking the ones with the lowest grades and putting them in progress could help lift your GPA. In the past I would have said there was no way anyone could get in with the stats you put up (no offense because they are good, but not normally enough for the impacted BSN programs), but it looks like you have a fighting chance at alt#20. You can do it. Good luck!!:heartbeat
  8. roxy922, lanakopp, vianna: I'm excited to meet you all and get this party started! :hpygrp:Wow, that is a crap load of smiley faces. Lord knows we might as well enjoy this time before the really long days start. Everything is so expensive (which I knew of course), but I wonder if the nursing loans are considered earlier than the stafford loans.... At any rate, I feel slightly lost as to what the lay out of the semester will look like. I did look at the class schedule, but much of it is TBA. Anyone have any insight? Is the Wednesday b4 classes start the only orientation day? :anbd: (I just thought this one was funny.)
  9. Ha! I didn't even think about the 2012 part...I sure hope the world keeps turning, because that would be a heck of a lot of hard work for nada. Lol, I cried too. We're sissies:jester:
  10. I'll see you there!!! Just got my email, almost fainted :eek:even though I knew deep down I'd have it with 83 points. You just never know:uhoh3:. Such a relief!! Sooooooooo happy. Lol, and to be honest, a little nervous. BUT HAPPY!!!
  11. Good info ncaligirl, thank you for taking the time to share it with us:heartbeat
  12. And now it's probably obvious that I'm spending way too much time combing through the net looking for glimpses of insight into what to expect when those emails come our way. Good luck to us both!!!
  13. Hi roxy922, Haha, yes. And I thought your name looked familiar. Well, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's last email didn't receive a reply (I mean, at least it doesn't feel personal now, lol, ). This process is giving me a dang ulcer.
  14. Yes, I have applied. And of course we are all on pins and needles waiting. Have you heard anything back yet?? Anything about point cut-off or # of apps submitted?
  15. Hi Lanakopp, Did you really hear the possible cut-off point for Spring 2011!?
  16. Yeah, that's what I was thinking ncaligrl. Are you a student @ CSUS now? I'm a mom as well. I really hope to get in this semester (like all of us do:o). I can't imagine the cost of going to CSUS for another semester studying another subject while I wait to get into the program, because my pre-reqs/co-reqs are already finished. Have you finished yours? Did someone really hear the cut-off point for Spring 2011!!!!????
  17. I hope I don't need it either syckRN, but thank you so much for the information!:redpinkhe
  18. Oh yeah, and STILL no word on the 60 or 80 students question... That will make a HUGE difference on points. Wish we knew.
  19. I am so with you guys: Freaking out! It is misery waiting. I have emailed the department with various questions and have gotten prompt and attentive replies in the past; however, I'm not going to push my luck anymore, because I'm SURE I've gotten annoying. I bet a lot of us have. I have 77 points without the supplemental points. I was told that even if your income is low, unless you inlcude parental info, your FAFSA will not be valid for extra points. So that sucks if you're an older non-dependant student. I'm also stressing on the points for a disadvantaged background due to a poorly scoring high school... Everything seems uncertain until WE GET THOSE EMAILS:eek: I am sure my family will be happy when I stop obsessing:yeah:
  20. lol. you are only speaking the truth turtlelittle. when i called the office, i received basically the same response: "about 2-10 people get in from the alternate list on average every semester." i guess it's dynamic. if all else fails i'll get in next semester with the required 85 points, settle for jr. college (yuck!) or get my bs at sacstate and do the bs to bsn program. grrr.:nuke:
  21. Hey, I'm sure you don't look at these posts anymore since you've been accepted (I understand:yeah:congratulations!), but if you do, and you can give us the info on your points to Chico it would be greatly appreciated. :)
  22. Geez you guys, let's simmer down. I thought this thread was about the dreadful wait-list and it has gone off in a hostile direction. It is probably because we're all under a lot of stress. So let's just...breathe... Anyway, I just found out I was put as alternate #26 at Chico State and I'm pretty upset. Does anyone know the stats regarding acceptance off the wait list in past semesters???
  23. Hi there, I know it's been a long time since your posting; however, if you do read this, could you tell me what number you were on the wait-list please?
  24. SHOOT! I had 82 points for Chico, I submitted an eco-disadvantage but they only gave me one point for it. Now I'm #26 on the wait-list!! Does anyone know the highest number that has ever been accepted from the list? I'm pretty sure anyone with #10 and under is getting in, and 2007 for Sac State had #29 declines... I'm sure this is just useless to ask but for some reason I can't let this tiny thread of hope go until I hear some stats. lol-where is the crazy face smiley?
  25. Hi everyone:D. If anyone has knowledge of Chico's BSN wait-list stats PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEASE tell me about it. :uhoh3: ie: How many people (on average) are on it? What is the highest number on the wait-list you've ever known to get it? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated! :))
