Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?
Hello seaciel! here's my timeline: Nov. 2010- sent all the documents to SAFH Dec. 2010- 3rd week of December, I received a letter from SAFH informing me of the fee to be paid. January 4, 2011- paid the fee. April 2011- (2nd week, can't remember the specific date) received a letter informing me that they need a copy of my passport copy, certificate of employment and Board Certification from nursing to be certified by a lawyer (or notary public, educational institution, authorizing body or any person stated on their guidelines.) on each page. I sent a copy of it authenticated by DFA but, according to their guidelines, each page should be certified with an official seal and stamp. They gave me 3 months time to process the papers that they need. All those papers are due on or before July, 01, 2011. Hope this one helps. Will update you soon. Godbless!

Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?
Hello guys! After sending my requirements at SAFH they replied (thru mail,as always.) that i needed to have my passport copy, COE and Certificate of Registration in Nursing be certified as true copy from the original. It was really my bad that i ONLY sent an Authenticated copy of my COE, Training/Seminar certificates and Authenticated School Documents except for the documents requested. However, they indicated on the letter that they require that this documents be and should bear/attested with the CERTIFIED TRUE COPY SEAL. Would they accept Attestation from a LAWYER or a NOTARY PUBLIC? Do I have to have it Authenticated by DFA after the attestation? or the Lawyer's/Notary Public Seal is enough? I had it attested by a lawyer but I'm hesitating if having it Authenticated is way too much. I need your advise/opinions on this pleaseee....... Sending a document to Norway via mail/courier is so expensive so i have to make sure that I finish everything just as they require and they gave me a deadline until July 1, 2011 only. Thanks in advance!!!:lvan::

or if you know someone living in norway, you can ask them to pay the fee for a much faster transaction.

Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?
hi! actually, i let my aunt read letter and pay the fee via credit card because i can't read the letter SAFH sent me. i scanned the letter/document, send it to her and from there she did it herself and i was told that she paid the amount and just wait for the safh certification. :)

Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?
Hi seaciel! does this mean that she's not conducting Norsk class in Taguig nowadays? I live in Cavite and i think it would be a pain to travel from here to Laguna, hence the travel fare it will cost me If you don't mind, how much is their enrollment fee in Norsk language course? do they require that the student pay it in full or downpayment is accepted? I still haven't received my SAFH authorization but the SAFH advisor/consultant sent me an email to wait by april or may as it usually takes 3-4mos from the date of payment.

Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?
I'm reading some online nyorsk language courses but i can say that it's a hard. Haven't really gone to a Language center in the Philippines because it cost quite lot. I have a relative in Sandegt which i know is a province area in Norway. If you could, can you recommend any language school in Manila if you know one? I am advised by Norway Embassy to apply for a Permanent Residence visa since they allow, nowadays, skilled person(s)/people to apply for that category and i already have the authorization from SAFH. I'm still blank about their healthcare workforce. Hope you don't mind me asking but what is usual the salary range for Norwegian Auxillary Nurses and Norwegian Registered General Nurse?

I got a letter from safh and paid the required amount to be paid thru cc and waiting for another letter as i am told by my aunt. Is it really that hard to learn their language? im having doubts to push thru with my plans of going to norway but as you know the nursing workforce in the philippines is tough. any info to share regarding norway and other stuff about their healthcare field? thanks! :):redpinkhe

@lenjoy03 nice to hear that notarization is free for those who are residents of muntinlupa, one way of saving money.kudos to muntinlupa city hall. manila city hall notarization fee is P75 and RTC fee is (i think) ranges from P75-150 @rachelleannef you can have it notarized by any legal notary public however, you have to have it RTC-ed on the same city where you have it notarized otherwise, dfa won't accept it. It happened to me once, i had my docs notarized in muntinlupa and RTC-ed in Pasay and they[DFA] returned all my documents and ask me to repeat the process all over again. spell HASSLE! either way, i learned my lesson. :yelclap: manila is just an example. by the way, what city are you from? regarding the authentication of documents you can click on this link for dfa authentication procedures: http://dfa.gov.ph/main/index.php/procedures and to all those who are waiting for their visa, interview, interview result and the like, good luck and god bless! :anpom::hpygrp:

i hope this helps as well. :) 1. college diploma, tor, and rle - bring xerox copy and original to your school, have it authenticated by them then bring it to CHED. In my case, it was the CHED who sent the papers to dfa manila for red ribbon, they will just give you a claim stub as to when you will claim them at DFA Manila already. 2. Board cert and prc id, and board rating cert. - have these xeroxed already also, just ask the guard at prc what window you will go for authentication for the purpose of red ribboning at dfa, They will authenticate these docs and again in my case, they were the one who sent it to dfa manila, they just gave me a claim stub. 3. COE - signatories should be chief nurse and medical director and should carry the official letterhead of the hosp and dry sealed too. Bring this to RTC notarization by the executive judge, you will need the original copy for this. This also applies to the prometric exam if you took it but only the xerox copy will be the one notarized but of course, present the original for verification. These 2 documents - bring to DFA DFA will charge you 100.00 per document. To be safe, just bring 1000 which I guess is more than enough already  resource link: Saudi-bound Nurses thru SRO

Hi! 1. if your school gave you a claim stub just present it to the security guard at the dfa gate then you will be advised to get a number and wait for your cue. 14 days is quite fast! nice school admin you have there, got mine for nearly a month. 2. go to prc and ask the security guard where to get a form regarding board certificate authentication and they will gladly help you with your queries. They also have this mail stuff, i think it is DHL, after paying the required amount you can give them your claim stub and they will be the one to claim it at dfa and deliver your document right at your doorsteps,no hassle, but of course it's optional. you can always opt out for the do-it-yourself stuff.:) 3. you can have it notarized in your city of residence and also have it certified as well, by your city or municipal rtc. have it certified in the rtc where you notarized it. ex. notarized at manila city hall, rtc- metropolitan trial court(it is just beside manila city hall). notarial and rtc fees are separate and might cost you Php500-700 all-in. if you're still confused with the rtc thing you can always ask the city official/notary person about it. hope this helps.
