Hi, My Grandmother, 90 yrs old, is in a rehab facility for therapy but has taken a turn for the worse. She's been very lethargic and unable to speak or open eyes much. She's not eating. No IVs (DNR) and she's just drinking a little. This am they found a kennedy ulcer. I was told tonight before leaving it was a stage 3. It is so rapid that it burst during the hour I was there. She also has spots on each side of forehead. My question is how long does one usually live? I appreciate any input. Hospice is coming in the morning. I need to prepare my parents. Thanks, JM

I have a family and everything, so my recommendations: wear ear plugs at home when studying, materials I used: LaCharity, Exam Cram,-really liked this one* Saunders, Kaplan strategy book and CD-liked this one* Kaplan q bank-didn't like this one and really can't recommend. this site for infection control-very good. brushed up on math ekg-someone on here posted a link to a game and I used that. stay with it, be constistent. do NOT let it get you down, and I know that's alot easier said than done. you can do this!!!:)

I got my official letter from BON! I passed!

Ok, i did the online pay pearson vue and it says i passed as well as the phone call. The letter was dated from when my results were on hold and i couldn't get quick results or pvt then. so im taking this as a pass. sorry to annoy.

I'm trying to. But they kept asking did something happen at the testing center? Now im so paranoid they are thinking I took the test too fast, took a break too short (i was dying to get it over with and didn't want to take additional breaks to add to my anxiety.) The break room i was in there was a lady there the ENTIRE time. I ate a granola bar and drank some coke they gave me and took my diabetes med!!! Im getting paranoid they are thinking i cheated or something. I know this all sounds psychotic but i have done nothing but study for months! had no social life, etc. I consistently studied day and night. im exhausted. I called NCLEX/Pearson myself and they said if it was on hold then i wouldn't be able to get quick results saying i passed and they had NOTHING noted in my file. My husband even called the boards and I did again (i was so upset) and they told me to call the NCLEX/Pearson people. Seriously, if i was accused of doing something at the center wouldn't someone had said anything???? I didn't wear a hat, i showed them my pockets, etc etc. i think high anxiety has set in. When I got my LPN I passed the first time but it took FOREVER to get my official result. Im really depressed now...

I'm guessing the computer kept popping up did I want to take a break and I kept clicking no. I only took one break. maybe that has flagged my account. She wouldn't go into it further.

Quick results say i passed, famous pvt says i passed. I called boards today after receivng a letter saying my release of exams will be delayed. The lady said in my file it was noted delay in breaks or delayed breaks? I only took one break. Anyone else have this happen to them? They said I would have a letter by next Friday:confused:

It took me three times and here's how I studied: first try: saunders 4th edition (read the book twice and used CD!), Kaplan review in person and Q-banks (hated them and they didn't help me) school review. failed. 2nd try: LaCharity but I rushed through it. definitely great book. still failed. 3rd try: Exam Cram RN-Nclex second edition Practice questions with CD (did 1000's of questions) loved this and mainly used this! Kaplan Nclex-RN exam strageties 2010 edition with CD-practice exams, and Davis RN Notes 2nd edition pocket guide. For infection I used this site, the menomics helped me a lot! I also used the fun cardiac site someone mentioned on here and the math calc to brush up. Always brush up on math. You can do this. I've had major things going on in my life and if I can live thru that and pass this test, so can you!

I drove 5 hrs to squeeze in before the new test went into effect. It was worth it for me. I also truly believe anyone that studies hard and NEVER gives up will pass the new style. Don't let it get you down. I procrastinated too long, so I had to study much more and put a lot of effort into my study habits.

It works! I had "test on hold" pop-up even with delivery successful. Then I had good pop-up today and even called quick results and BON for my piece of mind! Never give up. It was my third try. I studied and stayed with it consistently! Edited to add: on previous attempts, it sadly went straight to CC page.

I am so very proud to say I passed!!! I cried when I got my results. This is my dream. Thank you all for your kind words and for putting up with my anxiety! I will be dropping off my stethoscope to add RN onto my name now.

Please don't stop. This is coming from someone who had to do an LPN to RN bridge program and it is much harder when you have waited and things will always come up! Go for it now! you're almost there =)

Well it still says the same, can't register as test results on hold, delivery successful... I tested at 2pm yesterday. There were definitely some things I got wrong but I didn't feel as anxious as previous attempts. I did get all 265 q's again though...

now my anxiety is getting high... I have no clue why my results would be on hold and it saying delivered successfully? In my prior attempts when I did the PVT trick it immediately took me to the CC page... I already am stressed out for putting my life on hold to focus on study and now im behind in many things. I don't know if I can handle another fail... Sorry for the rant. This is my dream and I'm already frustrated at not passing before with the good gpa I kept and I've studied to the point I'm a prisoner in my house!

for those that tested in Illinois, how long did it take for the pop up to work? still getting test results on hold, but it says delivered successfully?

I took my test today and I just tried to do the "trick". It stated my results on hold and can't register. Anyone get this? Good or bad sign? Edit to add: it says tests delivered.

Hi Gold, My best advice is to try and keep anxiety at bay. This time was my 3rd attempt (haven't got results yet) and I was so proud of myself to not have a full blown panic attack! As far as content advice: know your infection control precautions, I also had many pharmacy meds that I haven't heard of. I had 2 math calc and a bunch of select all that apply and priority (who would you see first). Best Wishes! JM
