Tested positive for marijuana
I hope you're joking here. Really???? I guess the only solution to the above listed issues would be to rid hospitals of humans and only employ robots.

Medical Review Solutions, Inc.
thanks much. my concern exactly it what kind of assistance will they provide in finding business. i have been able to find some information on bbb and they have an a- rating with no complaints in past 3 years. i have also posted on a scam board looking for thoughts. if they provide you with business then seems that it would be worthwhile investment. if you have to find you own, then i could do this on my own without the outlay of $ they are looking for. thanks again for your input

Medical Review Solutions, Inc.
Thanks much, I have tried the BBB with no results, I guess I'll try the NV Attorney General office.

Medical Review Solutions, Inc.
I received a letter with information from this company looking for people to become "licensees" to do medical billing review for over/incorrect charges. This is something I have considered for a long time but never pursued. This company is based in Henderson NV and I can find nothing on the net about them other than their web page which has very little to go on. They arrange for you to attend a presentation then have a Regional Manager meet with you to answer your questions. Their setup fee for computer and software and training is approx. $4000.00 which is reasonable if this is a viable company with good support, i.e. clients. Anyone out there heard of these folks? Positives and negatives would be helpful. Thanks in advance:yeah:

12 hour shifts too long?
I am now working 6 12's in a row Thursday-Tuesday and then have 8 days off. It is kind of rough in the fact that when My Thursday get's near, I am starting to dread returning to work, though the 8 days off are pretty nice, I am actually taking PTO for my 6 days in June and will have 22 days off, I am looking forward to that. 6 days in a row are pretty difficult. I was working Fri-Sun, off Mon and then worked Tue and Wed and then the following Mon. That 1 day off in the middle was pretty much a wash since my sleep was really pretty bad. I work 7P-7A

What was the MOST ridiculous thing a patient came to the ER for?
This is completely true, a couple of weeks ago it was around 0200 on a Sunday morning. It was actually not too busy. Man arrives with his wife with him, she is sitting in the waiting room and he comes in to triage and says he wants "to have my wife checked out to see of she has been sleeping around" (he didn't use the word sleeping). Stated they were "doing it" when he put his head "down there" and thought he could smell a condom. Wants the doctor to check her out to see if she has been unfaithful. All the while the wife is just sitting in the waiting room, patiently. I told him that my physician was not going to examine her for this complaint and that maybe they needed to seek some counseling for this concern, opened the door and said "have a nice day". I have received numerous laughs over this one.

Columbia/HCA
I have worked for HCA since 1987 and have found it to be a GOOD company to work for. I have worked in 3 different HCA facilities and believe that the nursing care in those facilities has been nothing but the best. I know that others may have different opinions but do believe that the local hospitals quality depends upon the leadership and the nurses who work there. I work in a direct patient care area and am proud to work for HCA. BTW the name Columbia, is no longer a part of the corporate name. There were problems during the time when it was "Columbia". I am sure one could find issues with nearly any "for profit" or "not for profit" hospital company. I think one should judge each facility on its own merits. Just my .02 cents worth
