  1. it took 45 days to receive my info from the test date
  2. i just passed my nclex with 85 questions it had sata and infection control for the majority of the test, i really only got 1 med question.
  3. i would say prentice hall is the hardest it really felt harder then NCLEX i reccomend you use it only as a supplemental tool to saunders. prentice hall can really help you hone your nursing/test taking skills, but it can also decrease your confidence, confuse, and may even throw you off track. i think that saunders had the biggest impact on my NCLEX exam
  4. i think nursing is more then about a test, don;t put your self down no matter how many hurtles or rings of fire you must pass through I KNOW you'll make it, and when you do it will be that much sweeter. when you look back at what you did to get it you'll cherish it even more.
  5. congrats
  6. in response to shopaholic the test for me focused on infection control and choose all that apply. i also had about 20+ questions that i dont remember AT ALL? because i knew the answer so fast, for these i cant even remember what they had to do with. while others i spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure them out.
  7. i would study more questions a day if possible.
  8. i had a question like this on NCLEX and decided to leave it. it really bothered me for a few days after taking the test whether or not i got it right but i passed with only 85 q's so i most likely did get it right.
  9. originally i was kind of lingering/lurking around studying i wasnt really doing anything but i knew i had to set up a date to really study so i set up an appointment to test a month from the day i planned to study and the whole time i used that as my inspiration. during this time i was studying about 300-400 questions a day at first it was very hard to study but with time it was very easy to do a few 100 questions. i studied saunders, lippincot, and prentice hall. i first used Lippincot (the easy one) for some confidence and simple test taking skills, then moved up to saunders (a bit harder) until i was getting 80's then for the remainder of the week before nclex i started using prentice hall (very hard) and still managed to get 80% on it. by the end of my studying i was not using lippincot at all since i was getting consistent 90%'s and used saunders for about 80% of the questions and prentice hall for 20% of my daily questions. i would have to say that the test really felt like prentice hall, but not as hard. i think that out of all the study material saunders helped me the most if i studied using only lippincot i would have failed for sure. i feel that prentice really helped me become better at choosing the right answer but i still feel that it alone would not have helped me pass the NCLEX. prentice hall seems to have a longer learning curve and the scores you get with it are very discouraging which is why i used it to study later on. i feel that confidence plays a big part in passing.
  10. so after waiting 46 days i just got my notification that i passed nclex. i thought i surely failed since my test stopped at 85 and today i got a small envelope in the mail instead of the 8x11 i have heard about. my questions were mostly infection control and i studied for a whole month straight sun up to sundown. if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
  11. it was the nclex PN/lvn i took it at a pearson view testing facility and i do have my SSN if it matters. edit: i called the california board and they informed me that my results were mailed just yesterday, i hope i passed since it stopped at 85.
  12. i still have not received my results i have checked the mail and nothing? can anyone give me any help on where i can call or check for results. oh and i live in california by the way thnx in advance.
