  1. Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply. I stopped at 85 questions and I feel like I failed. I didn't end up doing Kaplan and just stuck with NCLEX 3000.
  2. caliotter3 & LPN2RNKY: Thank you for taking your time to answer my post. I didn't end up rescheduling. I ended up with 85 questions and I feel like I miserably failed. I received over 900 on the HESI and I've been out of school for about a year.
  3. I'm taking the NCLEX PN for the first time in one week. I'm almost done with NCLEX PN 3000 and have been scoring in the 50s to 70s. I'm currently doing the LaCharity book and have been scoring in the 50s. I'm getting discouraged because I feel like I'm not retaining any information! Should I move my test date to a later date or just go ahead and take it? I've been mostly just doing questions and no content reading. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.
  4. I take the NCLEX PN in three weeks. I'm mainly doing NCLEX PN 3000 questions, which I'm almost done with. I'll be starting the Kaplan QBank tomorrow. I do 200 questions a day and read the rationales. Are these two programs enough for me to pass the NCLEX PN or should I include another source in my study plan? Did any of you that passed the NCLEX just study doing questions or did you read content also? Any tips, suggestions, advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. My cousin took her PN boards and studied with Q-Bank and passed the first time. How many questions does the Q-Bank have? I'm thinking of purchasing it, but I want to be able to get through all the questions in 10 days. Is this possible?
  6. Hi, I'm planning to purchase scrubs at Salus Uniforms but before I do, I wanted to know if they're true to size? I'm usually a size small and I was looking at their size chart, and my measurements are more a size medium. Any advice from anyone that has ordered from them before is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Hi! I recently graduated from a LPN program and am planning on relocating to either OK or another state. Are there many opportunities for new grad LPNs in Oklahoma or am I better off relocating to a state? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  8. I appreciate all the tips thus far and the PMs. I'm not allowed to PM anyone yet, but in response to some of your questions, I take the HESI in July or August. I've purchased the HESI book, Saunders & Kaplan Qbank. I've only been able to do about 50-75 questions a day due to school work and stuff. But I plan to increase the load and do about 150-200 beginning in June (hopefully). Silly question, but do you think I can study the NCLEX-RN 3500 when I'm taking the NCLEX-PN or should I just stick to PN study materials? :imbar Thanks again!
  9. Thank you for your responses. Our school requires us to score 900 or else we don't graduate. Our school hasn't provided appropriate study materials, so I'm determined to get above the required score on my own with my own study materials, so all I have to worry about is the NCLEX. Thanks and please do keep suggestions coming!
  10. I'm required to take the HESI exit exam for my LVN program. A few questions for those that have taken the HESI. 1. What study materials did you use to study? 2. How many times did you take it? 3. What was your score? 4. How many hours/questions did you do per day? Thank you. :)
  11. Thanks to everyone that took time to respond! :)
  12. TexasGirl24: Thanks for your response. I've been using 3 sec for cap refill and normo, hyper, hypoactive for BS. :)
  13. Hello! I currently live in California and am planning on relocating after I finish the LVN program. Although the pay is good in Cali, I would like to move to a more affordable state with many LVN job opportunities, decent school for LVN-RN program, and a low standard of living. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  14. shrimpchips & Daytonite: A little late but, I just wanted to thank you for your responses! :)
  15. Hi everyone! Our class have been doing physical assessments at our clinical sites. The only problem I have is what wording to put. For example: LOC: A & O; Cap refill: Normal; Bowel sounds: Present. Like if cap refill is delayed, would I just put delayed or how many seconds? And if pt has no dyspnea, would I put none or N/A? Is there are website that any of you can direct me to with proper wording with physical assessments? Thank you for your help.
