  1. To all. Do whatever you think is best for your situation. Doing it the traditionally or online. Money is always a factor in going to college. I have to work, so once I pass my RN I plan to do an all online program. I have to get accepted. The prorgam is offered by Dreyel and I like what they have to offer. To apply all information must be submitted by June. They will notify all canidates. The program starts in October. With this program you must find 2 prceptors that will work with you. I work in a hospital and I found 2 doctors that will let me volunteer with them in there clinic. Best Wishes to all who plan to do a PA program. Also, you must have Bachelor in any degree with a 3.5 average. I have a BAS minor in Psychology with a 3.5. God is good. Tiny3:nurse:

I am using Nursing and Pharmacology made insanely easy. I like these books, because they teach a differnent way inorder to learn the material. They are on ebay and cheap. Tiny3:nurse:

  4. I am studying for the 4th time also. It is very depressing to fail. I study every day 100-200 question with rationales only. I also work 12hr shifts as a LPN. I am completely exhausted, but I want this bad. Keep studying and don't give up. I am curently studying Pharmacology and Nursing made insanley easy. I am able to remember and retain the informaiotn I read. It teaches a totally different way of learning the infomation. I hope this help. Tiny3
  5. The only refresher course I know is in Fayetteville, NC. It cost about $1500 and is a year long. Please check and make sure this hasn't changed. I checked on this in 2001. Tiny3:nurse:
  6. Thank you so much for your story. This is very uplifting to me. I am a retester and a Christian. I always pray for a take my RN and did not pass. I know God is good all the time and hears our prayers. So when he is ready for me to pass I will pass. Thanks again. Tiny3
  7. I have an Associate RN and a Bachelor in Applied Science with a Minor in Psychology. I am waiting to take my RN boards this month. I hope to apply for the PA program all online in June. There are several all online programs. The PA and NP do the same thing, but it all depends on the city/state you work in and the setting. I have seen PA and NP in all setting and do well. The pay is great for both. Tiny3
  8. I do not know. I went to Pearsonvue site when I registered for my RN and they had information aboout receiving the results. All I know is you call and pay for the results if they are available. Tiny3
  9. It is up to the facility to make that decision. I am a LPN and hadn't worked in 6 years. I applied for a job in 2008 and was hired and I did not have to take a refresher course. I did not let my license lapse. I continued to renew every 2 years. Most facility do want a refresher course. North Carolina offer a RN refreshaer course and it cost 1500 and up. Tiny3:nurse:
  10. I hope I understand the question everybody is asking. I was told once you take the PN/RN there is a site you pay to get the results. I have failed the RN NCLEX. If they dont''t let you pay it does not mean necessarily you failed. They are still reviewing to make a decison. Good luck. Tiny3:p
  11. Don't give up. We are in the same boat. I know how you feel. Maybe try the same books I am using. It is called Nursing made insanely easy. It is cheaper on ebay. Some are new and old. These books teach you how to learn in a different way. I do like them and so far is has been easy for me to retain the information. Tiny3

I am currently an LPN. I have been in nursing over 20 years. I work at a hospital and I do everything the RN do except a few things. I graduated from RN school in 1998. I took my first boards in 1999 and failed. I was so emotionally disappointed I refused to take it again. I finally had enough nerve to try it again. I took my second boards in 2003 and failed. I am so tied of taking the boards and failing. I want to give up. I took my third boards 2008 and failed it. I have test anxiety. I have tried medication, I set in on a live review, I have done Saunders, Kaplan, Davis, and Mosbys books over the years and still failed my boards. The last two times I tried RN NCLEX I was nearly passing. I am about to take the boards again for the fourth time. I am currently studying Nursing and Pharmacology made insanely easy. I studied from September-December 2009 and took a break during Christmas. I started back up in January 2010 and been studying since. Some days I am so overwhelmed I can't study. I plan to schedule my test day February 26, 2010. I paid for everything already. I just need some positive feed back or suggestion, please. Tiny3
