Switch schools. Get away from people who make you feel like that. Have you looked into online nursing classes with supplemental clinicals? Could you consider LPN/LVN school first. How 'bout EMS training? I'm saying, go in through a different door.
If this is an exam question for NCLEX, do not call the doctor. NCLEX wants to know what you will do, not what the doctor will do (Kaplan 2009), if this is an exam question, please let us know which answer was the best answer :)

In my state of Indiana the Board of Nursing has a list of questions you must answer when you apply for your test. I am sure I recall being asked if I had ever been convicted of a crime. Then the board decides from there on a case by case basis. Not much of an answer but that is all I know about that. Before you ask, no, I was never convicted of a crime, but best of luck to you.
