How many graduates utilized the Kaplan review???
I took the Kaplan review in May. I finished nursing courses May 2003, but had to do 6 makeup clinical days in the fall of 2003, due to health reasons. I feel Kaplan helped me tremendously in both test-taking strategies AND boning up on things I had forgotten or things I wasn't really clear on (like acidosis, etc). For me...it made all the difference in the world! I passed NCLEX June 9th! I would recommend the course to anyone!!!

Twin....you will pass!!!!!!! Just remember to take a deep breath right after you log on.....focus really hard on the first 10 questions.....if you nail them, you'll probably get a short test! You will do fine!!!!!!!

Need positive vibes!
I took the Kaplan course....it made a huge difference for me! Here's my tips from taking the boards last week: Know your labs; K+, NA, RBC's & diff's, acidosis & alkalosis. Know your drugs: esp Lanoxin, Hep, coumadin, (PTT, etc) Infection control was HUGE on my test....know when to use gloves, mask, ALWAYS assess pt and Stay with your patient!!!! Call MD only if life or limb is in danger. Distraction is for toddlers and psych patients.

Nclex
Twin, if the computer shut off at 75 questions, and you feel good about it, chances are that you passed. I took my RN boards a week ago, and that dang computer shut off at 75 questions. I thought for sure I failed...but the questions were hard! I passed!!! I found out, actually, the next morning by checking my State Board of Nursing website! It said "passed" at 8:30am the day after I took the test!
