  1. My sister started at HPRHS as a new grad and had a great experience there. We both worked there while we were in nursing school as CNAs and also had good experiences. That was a few years ago and I don't if anything else has changed, but there was an average I guess hispanic population at the time. Anyways, hope this helps and good luck!
  2. I work at New Hanover hospital. This is the trauma center of the area. Cape Fear Community hospital is also in Wilmington. It's known for it's orthopedic capabilities. I think there is a smaller hospital outside of town, Pender Hospital, but am not sure much about this facility. I haven't been here for long, but so far I like it. The location is very nice...especially at this time of the year. Let me know what other kind of questions ya'll have and I'll try to answer some if I can.
  3. it was a total of $298 here...I don't know if you would have to repay it or not...hope this helps a little!
  4. Hey just wanted to let everyone know that I passed!!! The phone system finally gave me a confirmation number! Thanks for everyone's support!
  5. thanks so much...my roommate and i went to the mall today...wonderful idea b/c it definitely took my mind off of it....now i just have to be patient!
  6. Hey I took my test yesterday and I'm so nervous. The computer stopped at 75, but I just don't know how I did. I hope I passed...I've tried to keep my mind off of it, but it's sooo hard! Any advice on distractions???
  7. I just graduated from UNCG (YAY!) but I did my final internship (clinical) at Baptist hospital. Many of my friends will start working there soon and my experience was good and what I've heard is good. As for WSSU's accelerated program, I did work with a few nursing students while doing my last rotation. From what I gathered, they were satisfied with the program, however, some told me that they were concerned with how much information was covered in such a small amount of time. I know this wasn't much info. but I hope hope this little bit helps some! Good luck!
  8. I was wondering if anyone had any information on New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC ....I'm interested in working there when I graduate and was wondering if anyone had first hand experience? Do staff get along, is there a good work environment...etc...any response will help...Thanks!
