  4. Thank you so much. I like your tip. It sure gives a great mental picture. Good luck to you !
  5. Congratulations! Thank you for your story. I wish you the best.
  6. Hello beth2985, I totally understand what you mean about disappointment. Although having to overcome the NCLEX is a problem, for right now, be very grateful that you have a job. We will pass ! It's just not in our time but Gods time.
  7. Pedsnurze, Thank you for your support. I know you are right, we can do this and we will ! How are you studying? What books are you using? Any suggestions would help. Thank you.
  8. Hi Murphyal555, I was wondering were you looked to find a private tutor? I have taken Kaplan & Hurst. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
  9. Congratulations !!!!!! I am so happy for you. I just failed the 4th time,so I have to go through the waiting period before taking it for the 5th time. I have so much doubt about my intelligence and if I should even try again. Hearing that you passed and you kept up the fight, gives me hope. Thank you!
  10. CONGRATULATIONS Amberjo !!!!! You have helped me realize that I can try again. I have taken NCLEX 4 times now. I have been very down for the past week and a half. The 1st time I took it, I had this sinking feeling that I didn't pass. The second time I thought I did better, but still failed. Needless to say, after taking it earlier this month for the 4th time and failing again, I pretty much wanted to throw in the towel. I have taken Kaplan and Hurst I just feel that maybe I am not meant to be an RN. I have heard so many people say that everything happens for a reason, well, I wish I knew what that reason was and why does it have to hurt my pride so darn much ? I am still going through moments when I want to just go in a different direction, then I read on stories like yours , and it gives me hope and inspiration. Thank you for your story. I wish you all the best !
  11. Congratulations pump action nurse ! I enjoyed reading your story, thank you for sharing. I took the boards last week for the 4th time, and still failed. I know you said to be positive but it is so hard. As far as keeping positive people around me all I have is my husband. I used to have friends but now no one calls me anymore. Of course they are all RNs now, my husband seems to think that it is because they don' t want to hurt my feelings. Well don't ya think that by not calling me makes me feel even worse and more of a looser ? I wish you the best.
  12. Hi murphyal , I too will be taking the boards for the 5th time. I was so dead set on picking a different career after i failed the 4th time. Like many people have told me," you have worked so hard to get where you are, do not let this test hold you back from what you want to do". I turned to AN and have found lots of support and inspiration. I want to take them again. I know, I have worries too (the what ifs).As your tutor told you, and you know in your heart, you have the knowledge within you. YOU CAN DO THIS !
  13. Congratulations! Your blog is awesome. Thanks for ALL of the information. You are an inspiration to me. Your quest for knowledge is infectious. I have been down these pass few days , I will keep my head up and fight the good fight !
  14. Congratulations ! Wish you the best.
