  1. Hey I am taking the TEAS test in 4 days!!!!!! lol. I have already studied the ATI Study Guide 3.0 once and I am making my way through it once again. Has anyone been able to compare the difference in the 3.0 (bluish/green cover) to the 5.0 (yellow cover) ATI books? My school's bookstore recently started selling the 5.0 after I bought the 3.0! Does anyone remember how many questions are on the TEAS test? According to the 3.0 and 5.0 ATI books they have different amount of questions and times for each section. I'm very nervous about the test! ugh! Anyone have any advice for my last few days of studying? I feel like the reading section is something you either know or don't know. I've heard people say don't read the passages just skip to the questions first. Is it necessary like timewise to use that tactic or do you have enough time to read everything. Does the ATI study guide pretty much reflect the types of questions asked on the TEAS exam? How about the online practice tests? I've heard people say they thought the actual exam was easier than the TEAS test? The first time I took the online test I made a 77%, but I was in a rush to finish because I had somewhere to be and I didn't realize how long it was going to take. Two months later after studying I took it again and make a 89%. I was pretty pleased...in fact I would be happy with that on my actual TEAS exam lol..but of course I want it to be higher! Was there enough time given for the math section? Were there any word problems like on testpreview.com? I didn't really see any hard ones in the study guide or online assessment. What types of conversion questions were on there? Any one gallons, quarts, teaspoons, tablespoons? I think science is really going to be the hardest section. Luckily I took all 5 sciences in high school, but that has been many years ago. Has anyone taken the study guide practice tests and did horribly, but did very well on the actual test? I hope that is the case because I am familiar with the material, but I seem to do bad when I have to apply it?! weird. Does anyone favor the Kaplan, Mc-Graw, or ATI study guide more for the science portion? And the English...I know it's pretty basic and it's hard to really study for like the reading section. any advice? i just really hope i can do well!
  2. Thanks! I was just wondering what type of conversions were on the TEAS exam? Were there any questions about gallons, quarts, pints, teaspoons, or tablespoons? If so, what are the teaspoon and tablespoon conversions?
  3. My TEAS test is less than 2 weeks away!!! I have already gone through the entire ATI book once already, but I have started back through again. After looking over the Reading section and increasing my practice test score by 4pts I was pretty pleased. I feel like the reading section is something you can't really study for. Maybe tips on how to better prepare, but not the actual concept. On the TEAS are there long passages...like 5,6,7 paragraphs with several questions that follow? Is it like the TEAS study guide 3.0 (ie: p.16) or are majority of the questions refer to charts (ie: p. 17)? Just curious to know if the passages were anything like the NET (HOBET). I am really good with harder math, but simple math seems to throw me off my game!! lol. From what I have read and heard Science is the hardest part, right? I have taken all 5 sciences back in high school, but that was several years ago! Any good websites that ya'll have found to be helpful? Are there any questions you remember of topics I should def. focus on? I think the English part on the Online Assessment was easy...is that the same type of questions and format of the TEAS test? Also I have heard the Online Assessment is harder than the TEAS? ...if so, I should be good to go!! Anyways, I am so0o0o0o0o nervous, anxious, stressed, and anything else you can think of !!! Any advice would be helpful! Thanks.
  4. Hey guys! I'm about to take my TEAS exam in 2 weeks and I'm starting to get VERY stressed! With working and completing four classes worth of homework it's hard for me to find time to study; although I have already been through the book once! Anyways... my question is to everyone who has taken the test and has gotten their results back... what was the national percentage for 2009 and/or 2010. I am just wondering because I was told I had to meet that percentage for my score to be counted for points. Thanks!
  5. Hey guys! I haven't taken the TEAS exam yet, but I am in a few weeks!!! On the subject of metric conversions I had a question for those of you who has taken the test already. On p.63 and 64 in the ATI Study Guide were there any questions on cups, pints, quarts, gallons, teaspoon, tablespoons on the exam? Also do you know of any good websites for those conversions I listed? Thanks!
  6. thanks everyone for the great advice!!! i feel like i have studied very thoroughly for the teas test (i already have gone through the study guide once and i'm now doing it again). last night i was looking over the reading section and took the practice test. are there any websites or other materials you have found that better helps with reading portion of the test? it almost seems like either you know it or not, ya know? i have seen a lot of posts that mentioned tectonic plates...which i need to brush up on! did you feel like there was enough time for each section?
  7. hi everyone. i am taking my teas test in less than 3 weeks and i am very nervous! i have been studying for probably 4 months now, but not everyday. :rolleyes:i was hoping i could get some advice from anyone who has taken the teas test already. maybe what you did to study or prepare mentally that really helped or what you wished you did. my school takes 12 people out of the 50 who are testing so i'm stressed!!! lol. i have tons of random questions so sorry if they are all over the place.... -when you take the teas test online do you get your results at the end? -which section would you suggest i study the most? -is the teas test as easy as the online tests you can buy from ati? -were there a lot of science questions using the terminology on 157-165 in the ati study guide? -does the reading section have long passages (4 paragraphs or more) like the hobet did or does the reading section in the ati study guide give a good examples of what to expect? i know i have many more questions that i can't think of right now so if you have any other info i would greatly appreciate it! thanks for your time! :)
