  3. pm me and i might be able to recommend you in our facility.
  4. i hope you don't mind, but which county in nj do you live? pm me and i might be able to recommend you to our facility.
  5. thanks for all your wonderful inputs and suggestions...they are greatly appreciated
  6. i know that these are some of the nursing skills i needed to know - medication administration - oral/ eye med/ ear med/ etc. - different types of injection - im/subq/ intradermal - wound care - bowel care - insulin therapy - ventilator care - tracheostomy care - wound vac care - how to start an iv / change bag/ give compatible meds and not compatible - hep lock / saline lock - medical equipment / supplies - how to use them - etc.... and i'm sure there are a lot more that i missed and i would really appreciate if you can add your share. it would be an awesome addition if you can add some tips and tricks on how to do them too . and a good website to know those skills wouldn't hurt as well. i graduated almost a year ago and i just don't want to lose my skills while still searching for my very first job. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge to newbies like me. :reindeer: keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others ---- robert louis stevenson
  7. hi joannanj. can you give me additional ideas on how felician fast track rn-bsn works? do they give lots of test in the campus, essays, reading assignments, etc. what about the tuition fee? i'm torn between in-campus or online rn-bsn degree. thanks in advance!
  8. Yeah, i heard that too, its' all about Magnet status. Almost all the hospitals here in Mercer, NJ wanted a BSN under your cap for them to accept you. Consider yourself so lucky if you get hired and you just have an ADN. Oh well...I guess, I needed to go back to school again to get my BSN.
  9. i am so sorry to hear that. i did saunders for straight 6 weeks and luckily, i passed on first try. sometimes, you need to try different approach if the first one didn't work for you. don't get frustrated, just give yourself some time to relax and go back to your review books. if you passed nursing school, then you'll surely can pass nclex too. just focus and don't ever give up! good luck to you!!!
  10. i am so sorry to hear that. i'm in the same boat, i graduated last jan 2010 and still looking for a job and no luck! some forum they says if one year passed and a new grad still has no job, then he/she needed to take a refresher course, idk if this is true though. but i guess it makes sense, since it would definitely help refreshing our memories again. all the best of luck to us and hopefully, we'll both find a job soon. :grad:
  11. thanks you so much! i really appreciate that. and yeah, i am contemplating on moving to ny or pa or any states for that matter. but that would mean leaving my family behind but if that's the only way to get an experience, then i am willing to do it. anyway, my hubby and kids support me all the way, and that makes it much easier for me.
  12. That explains it...May your Mom rest in peace! :heartbeat
